3 Egg-cellent Table Displays For Easter
Hop into spring with these easy DIYs
The hunt is over for table décor this Easter! From name cards to sweet treats, celebrate the arrival of spring with these creative uses of egg cups that your guests will love.
1. Mini Egg Nest Place Cards
For a cute place card your guests will love, create little nests filled with hand-painted mini eggs. Paint the mini eggs with a tiny brush and food coloring.
To make the nest, secure a bed of moss and a mini nest to the egg cup with a hot glue gun. Fill the nest with three or four mini eggs and set a hand-cut banner with your guest's name on it atop the nest.
Tip! Paint the mini chocolate eggs for the place cards, but leave the real eggs in your centerpiece au naturale for a fun twist.
2. Dyed Egg Vases
Hollow out eggs by pricking a small hole in the top of the eggshell with a thumbtack. Then, using your fingers, create a larger opening and shake out the egg. (Save the whites and yolks for a yummy Easter brunch!)
Carefully dye the eggshells. For lighter colors, use white eggs. For deeper hues, use brown eggs. Fill the vases three-fourths of the way full with water and place small blooms in them.
Tip! Keep all eyes on your colorful DIY egg vases by using only simple greens in your centerpiece.
3. Cake Pop Serving Plate
Ditch the basic plates and trays, egg cups and crates can serve sweet treats! Use a brightly-colored ceramic egg crate to hold homemade cake pops or donut holes.
