Best Wall & Display Shelves With Reviews

As an Interior Designer I was looking for a product that would be suitable for my clients office. She needed a sleek shelf to host some items including her various awards. I found this piece and purchased two to give them a shot. They turned out great as you can see! My only suggestion is that the hardware is more varied. Make sure you have longer and more sturdy screws for the wall mount, you will need them. They give you the same screws to wall mount as they do to assemble the shelves and they are two short for a wall mount. Also pictured is the Alessandro Accent Chair, 2 Piece Sculpture Set, Lepage End Table and Botticelli Chevron rug.

I just LOVE these shelves. I've purchased three sets of the unstained shelves in different sizes at different times and they all blend in very well together even though each shelf has it's own special character. Incredibly sturdy and kind of heavy. Hanging them was a different process depending on which wall I hung them on. I have old plaster walls so I hit the studs where I could, used plastic anchors where needed and since I'm not placing heavy items on any of the shelfs, in some instances just screwed the bolts into the walls with no additional support (though studs are recommended). The process of hanging was easy enough. I did swap out the silver bolts for black ones to match the brackets better but that's just my personal preference. The silver ones worked fine if you like the contrast. I highly recommend.

Good piece for price. My one comment is that the metal brackets are countersunk incorrectly for the way they tell you to mount the brackets to hold it up. One countersink on the wall is fine but the other side of the bracket you affix to the underside of the shelf is countersunk in the wrong side. The pictures dont show the brackets so its actually about 2 to 3mm away from the wall so there is a gap all around it. You can add a line of sealant if required. Other that that looks good.

Nice looking shelf unit. The shelf panels are very lightweight but appear sturdy and the wood grain actually has some texture to it. The mounting hardware provided is horrible and should not be used if you are unable to screw into studs (the drywall anchors provided did not grip well enough so either spun in the drywall while trying to tighten screw or they pushed through the wall). I forced myself to use them only because the screws had large enough heads versus the other anchors I had available and the screws were color matched. Mounting hardware aside, the only reason for dropping one star is the description says the pipe is black iron but it is painted brown. In may case, either color would work in my room but I thought I was getting black, otherwise I'd be returning it.

I needed something to organize and store old towels that we keep in our utility room. We had some white cabinets in the room as well as a white utility sink, washer and dryer. The rest of our decor is a western/country look with beige and browns. I didn't want to add just another white cabinet to the room and I thought there wouldn't be a way to keep the the towels looking neat on just plain shelves. When I saw this wire wall unit it was perfect. The size was spot on. The color matches our decor great. It even had a towel bar on the bottom where we can keep a hand towel for when using the utility sink. Because this wall unit has shelves and wire sides, I rolled each towel and stacked them on each shelf. The presentation looks wonderful!

I’ve been looking for a shelf like this for over a year now and have finally found one at a reasonable price. It was pretty easy to hang, I was able to put it up by myself (though an extra set of hands would have really come in handy during some parts of the installation). I would also recommend purchasing metal drywall screws or molly bolts if you plan on putting anything with some weight on the shelves because I don’t think that the plastic hardware that came with the unit would be able to withstand much weight before pulling out of the wall. The shelves look great once up and filled with my potted plants... but the metal poles aren’t completely straight and unfortunately because of this it does not lay completely flush to the wall. This is not a deal breaker because I might be the only one who notices, but it’s just not perfect... though definitely still a nice wall shelf for the price.

WOW!!! Seriously, I was not expecting much for these shelves. I mean they arent real wood and they were 30 something. But I am seriously impressed with these! The first thing I noticed about them is that they were a lot heavier than I was expecting. I will say the only thing I am a little disappointed about is that they are not quiet as long as I was hoping for but not a big deal. They work for their intended purpose of adding a little something to a bare home office wall and gave me an area to display a few things. They are pretty great and for the price you just cant beat it!

Nice 4 cubby wall shelf with 9 hooks at 2 different heights; the wire design matches my shoe rack/bench below it. Had an issue with the instructions (Linon Home Decor Products, Inc. #AHWE12381). They provide anchor bolts, but the instructions do not tell you you need to drill a 5/16" hole and insert the anchor into the drywall before you can start screwing in the screw. I called the manufacturer, who were very gracious and helped to understand how to do it. The shelf was also missing the screws that attach the shelf to the wire structure on one end, so I found some in my spares box that worked, screwed them into the shelf, and it's quite solid after that fix. Took only 15 minutes to get it up after I understood how to do the anchors. Now it's up on the wall correctly, and works quite nicely in my location. I guess it really IS a loving hands at home item! But I'm fine with it; the hooks are quite solid, and it's perfect for your masks, shopping bags, hoodie, flashlight, things that you need to take to the car, etc.

They seem to be solid and sturdy. We got them in the distressed white color and they look amazing! Update After having these for some time, here is some additional information. Although they were easy to put up, all but one have gradually come out of the wall. We used wall anchors on all of them and followed the instructions, but they only have two places to screw into the wall, so unless you plan to screw into studs, you may end up with our problem. Part of the problem may be that we wanted to use these for a kid room. Kids books can really add up weight-wise. Board books are quite heavy. So perhaps limiting the number of books you put in them would help with this problem. However, at that point they become more decorative than functional, which was not our purpose in buying them. One other problem was that at the time of unboxing, we found a piece of wood had chipped off the back of one right where the shelf was supposed to hang from the screw. We hoped we could find a way to make it work but thus far have not been able. If you are looking for something decorative to display just a few books, this may be for you. But if you want something practical and functional that will last, it may be best to keep searching.

I have mixed feelings about this shelf. It looks GREAT! It looks just like the picture. The piping is sturdy and heavy- very nice quality, and it was, overall, fairly easy to put together. My biggest con is that the shelves themselves are VERY cheap material. The edges of each shelf are wrapped in plastic that is visible if you look closely (I tried to get a picture!). They are so cheap, I’m hesitant to leave anything heavy on the shelf. For us, this isn’t a huge issue since it’s going in my son’s room for LEGO display, so it meets our needs well. I will say that given how cheap they are, they are textured to feel like real driftwood, which is a plus. Overall, this is perfect for our needs, and I’m pleased with the end result! Here’s a quick recap: Pros: - Solid, heavy piping - Looks beautiful! - Shelves are textured to feel like real driftwood - Straight-forward installation Cons: - Cheap shelf material - I question shelf reliability to hold heavy objects Installation: This is a 2 person job! I have added pictures of our process. Although slightly time consuming, I think it worked well! First, we put the entire shelving unit together. My husband held the shelves on the wall so we could pencil in screw hole placement. We took the shelves down and he added wall anchors. We installed the left side of the piping, made sure it was level, then I unscrewed the shelves from the piping while he held everything in place. We installed the right side of the piping. Finally, we added shelves back on. We had no issues! Hopefully, this helps your decision-making and install process. Happy shopping!

Well made, good quality shelf. I put rubber dots on the bottom and used it as a free standing shelf instead of hanging on the wall. The dots weren’t really necessary as it stood up by itself, but in case you don’t want the metal scratching the surface. It’s the perfect size for a large kitchen window sill for my plants. Took only 6 minutes to screw the three shelves on to the metal frame. Rustic white wash finish to the shelves but the metal frame gives it a modern, clean finish. Will definitely buy from same manufacturer again.

I love the Cassidy wall shelf. Be sure to check the size, I had a smaller space so it worked perfectly for me. I’m placing it over the toilet and hanging a small towel set to help break up the wall and pull a bit of color into the area. The style of the towel bar/shelf comes very close to matching a towel bar on the opposite side which makes a big difference. I haven’t mounted it yet, as I need to paint that wall, but I had one similar from Wayfair in my summer hame and the addition of the towel bar to the shelf makes a big difference. I shopped for this item for quite some time and again, only Wayfair had what I needed at a reasonable price. The photo of the shelf is of course not mounted, but it will show you what it looks like. Love it! Easy to attach to wall, but you definitely need a drill bit to make the holes for the anchors. I suggest using a 516 as it was the perfect size and I was able to use the screwdriver to get it in there nice, and snug. Of course that depends if you are placing it on drywall. You will still need a power tool if you are just going to use the nails on a stud. Directions say you only need a level and screwdriver. Feels very secure and sturdy. I got the 35 12 or 36 inches with 4.5 inches in diameter. I have my shelf over a twin bed (width 39 inches)

These shelves (I bought two) are made of solid wood with stain applied. They are well made and sturdy, and include a screw on the underside to secure them to the 2x4 that holds them to the wall. I felt like they looked too roughunfinished for our mostly contemporary home, so I applied a few coats of satin polyurethane. There were a couple of dings in the shelves, which I couldn’t tell if were just natural parts of the wood, or some sort of damage. I placed the bottom of the bottom shelf level with the bathroom mirror and the top of the top shelf midway with the window. Although the product is a bit pricey, I figured the time and energy to make my own made them worth the cost.

I absolutely love these shelves! They're a bit bigger than I expected—but that was a pleasant surprise. I forgot to check the measurements between the shelves, so I was thrilled to find they fit all my small mason jars for my craft room perfectly. I originally planned to display my little rock collection, but the space is generous enough that I’ve been able to double my organization area. They are absolutely gorgeous! I was hoping to match them with a cedar piece I previously bought on Wayfair, and they are a near-perfect match. The light brown tone is beautiful—the photos online really do them justice, though they look even better in person. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations, but they exceeded them by far. The shelves are solid and beautifully made. I didn’t initially check the material, but they look and feel like real stained wood—and they are! Made from alder, they feature natural wood grain, knots, and color variation just as described. To me, that makes them even more perfect. I’m very, very pleased with this purchase!

Three Points: 1) Purchased 2 units - They are up on the wall next to each other, look great, and great price. Happy... now. 2) They assemble quickly, slip together, no screws, can be in any orientation, but they can easily disassemble as you are trying to attach to the wall. Sturdy once installed. 3) BUT!!! - These are very very difficult to install if putting screws into drywall. Into wood, you can adjust the screws easier. You must install the 4 screws in a perfect rectangular pattern, square and level. No way to adjust shelf. You must buy better wall anchors, the ones in the package wont work, yo will push the screw into the wall. I made a cardboard template and still need to adjust. AND you must have the screw heads sticking out of the wall just the right amount or you cannot slip the shelf on the screws and you could destroy the mounting slot on back of shelf. Took me 4 hours to do. If the screws are in the right pattern, and sticking out the right amount, its easy. Must have a second person I could do faster now, lessons learned but I'm sure quite a few of these get tossed or fall off the wall later. Great once up though!

Super happy with these shelves. They fit a good bit of my figurines on em and that's exactly why i bought them in the first place. Installing them was relatively easy except for the fact that one of the shelves kept coming up uneven. My mom and i remeasured the wall holes a few times and our measurements were completely even. We finally figured out that it was the holes/fixings actually in the shelf itself and that's why it was uneven, but, we compensated for how much it was off and we were able to drill a proper hole and get the shelf pretty level. Not too much of an inconvenience but it was still a little frustrating trying to figure out what was going on haha
