Best Shoe Storage Bench With Reviews

Arrived a day early, which was great. All parts were there and neatly packaged to protect the smooth finish. The design goes well with mirrored bedroom set and measurements were accurate. Easy to assemble - as others have noted, you should only loosely tighten the bolts by hand until everything is in place. Then tighten all bolts with provided allen wrench as final step. I particularly like that the frames of the two storage shelves insert into holes in the uprights and are then fastened in place with bolts. This makes for good structural integrity. Size is perfect for intended use, in a walk in closet of a guest room where it will be extra storage, handy for putting on shoes, and a suitcase stand if needed. It's also low enough to slide partially or completely under fixed shelves when more floor space is wanted.

This bench turned out to be the exact size I was looking for to use inside the front door without drawing a lot of attention to itself. It is sturdy. It could be a little heavier to keep it from moving around while in use, however any bench this size and not bolted down will tend to move a bit over time. Overall I am quite happy with it. If I use it without worrying that it could break or something or cause it to move then it is exactly what I was looking for, especially for the price.

This is an upgrade from the 50.00 bamboo rack I previously bought from Wayfair. It is more ample in every dimension. I can get five pairs of mens size 11 shoes on each shelf. The seat is comfortable and wide enough that it feels safe. The bamboo and the finish are of a better quality than the less expensive bench. The metal frame is attractive and the shelves all attach securely and easily. I put it together in about 15 minutes by myself but a helper would make it easier. Only two types of hardware are used, four leveling feet and four hex headed screws for each shelf and the seat.

I took all the pieces out of the wrappings and discarded them all. I noticed the rustiness described by another reviewer on the legs. It was not enough for me to complain about. This piece is for the bathroom I share with my 8 year old granddaughter and 14 year old grandson since moving in with my daughter three weeks ago. We have differing needs in the bathroom. Little girl toilet articles live on the side of the sink in a plastic tote bucket. He brings his in. Im used to my own things in their own places. The mom said she didnt care what I did in there. So, the hunt was on...it ended with this small, appropriate piece. Sometimes I want to sit to do some things or just to sit down. Im72. So, my 14 year old grandson was assigned his first building project. I gave him the one page instructions to look over. I gave him the packages of fasteners and the 2 loose ones. He raised one eyebrow I raised mine...he went into the bathroom with his gaming chair. You know the one that slants back, kind of...When I saw him again, the bench was in place under the towel rack. It was just waiting for some of those small, colorful baskets from the dollar store. You can put 3-4 on each shelf. I am so pleased, I could just pop! The kids are thrilled! It isnt flimsy nor kiddy looking. But sleek and inconspicuous. Thanks Wayfair! The commercials are so me! And now, us, cuz my grand sons first building project was a huge success and he couldnt stop smiling! Hahahahaha!

I purchased the large version of the shoe storage bench and was pleased that it fit my husband's size 11.5 shoes for the most part. We couldn't fit his high top sneakers in one compartment but all the others fit (2 shoes - 1 pair in each compartment). I was able to put 2 pair of flats in one compartment too. Easy assembly since all you have to do is screw in the four pegs in without tools. The only major reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because the color was not what I expected. I went for the Charcoal Magnolia and it's definitely a lighter grey than what the picture shows online. Not the prettiest shade of grey either but I didn't feel like paying for return shipping. Also the material/textile seem like it can get dirty quickly too. Overall please with the product. This bench suits my needs for the price and it is what I expected. Because other users had warned about the seat top not being pre-drilled I was prepared and assembled the fram first placed the bench seat top down on floor and lined up the frame position and pre-drilled using the frame as a template and screwed the top with the provided screws. Because of other users it did not take long for me to assemble the bench.

When our family moved into our new home in the middle of November, the previous owners left a large metal shoe rack in my husbands closet that I moved to the foyer for the time being since we are a "no shoes in the house family." That being said it was tacky and ugly as well as the benches they left. I was looking for something that would be sturdy, pretty, not break the bank too much, but also match the decor I liked. This checked EVERY. BOX. I built it myself, ALL the directions and parts were in the box. 0 issues putting this bad boy together. The only issue I had was getting it INTO my house after it was dropped off since my husband wasn't home haha! I took advantage of it being assembled on its side and put a few bottom felt pieces to protect the wood floor. It not only makes it easy to move around if needed but this thing is beautiful. The cubbies aren't huge so boots and above ankle sneakers are a no go for it but it's deep enough that you can add me adult 5 woman shoe in them side by side to some extent.

Beautiful shoe storage bench, color is as shown, holds more than 32 pairs of shoes, some slots you can put 3 pair in, depending on the size of the shoe. I can’t thank Wayfair enough, the first one that came the slots were damaged they sent me another one and UPS or Fed Ex left the box at the top of my driveway, not in the porch, I called Wayfair 4 different times and the delivery company was suppose to come back the following day, they never came, then they were to come back on Sat., never came, then they were to come back on Monday, never came. It was originally dropped off in Thursday and it rained while it was outside, it wasn’t put on the porch until the following Friday. I called Wayfair & told them when they finally put it in the porch, no damage even with the rain. Wayfair gave me a partial credit, which I didn’t expect. Thank you Wayfair!!! Way to go.

What a product! I am an engineer and I have to tell you, I haven't seen any product that is so well designed, it's parts so clearly labeled and packaged! I am simply awed by the packaging! So much thought and planning into it. Not only it is it great looking but a great deal at this price. I had researched a lot on many sites and this truly was the best buy. I have had it just for two days , it does look extremely sturdy, hopefully time will confirmt the same.

This basket is ENORMOUS! I thought I ordered the smaller size, but it is sturdy and well made. I will be changing it's intended use because it was going to sit on my fireplace hearth. For size reference I put a 2 pack of pillows and a faux fur throw in it so you can see the size. It's bigger than a bassinet or laundry basket.

Just received this. Shipping was fast. Assembly was easy, I sat on it and it seems sturdy. My dog likes it. It's what I was looking for which is a solid wood entryway bench with some storage. The space underneath fits about 3 pairs of shoes with a little extra space. Nice for just taking shoes off when you come in and having quick access when you leave. Sits kind of low to the ground, like if you have bad knees maybe consider getting one with a bit more height. I like the way it looks low to the ground though and it doesn't bother me, could easily put a cushion on it. I'll review again after some time to see how it holds up

This bench boosted our front doorlanding area appearance, it looks much neater with the shelves hiding the shoes from plain sight! I don’t see a weight limit posted anywhere for the bench and it doesn’t seem like it would be very strong, but we probably wouldn’t sit on it more than use it as storage anyway. Assembly was super easy but be careful not to screw the screws too tight or the wood cracks really easily (happened to me, but the structural integrity to just hold shoes won’t be affected).

Love this bench! I am about 180lbs and can easily sit on this bench and not feel like I’ll break it. We got the darker brown top and love the color and the quality of this item. It was easy to put together and love the addition design hanging from the top of the seat. Adds some personality to the bench. Would recommend to those who need something little by the door to sit on while putting on shoes. Only 3 pairs of adult shoes can sit on the bottom but in using it to store a basket with gloves and hats! Love it!

Be careful as you assemble because the wood is cheap plywood and falls apart easily. Wayfair has to send me a second and we ended up with a total of four. One split so bad it couldn’t be used. They did replace it and upon assembling the replacements VERY carefully (and not necessarily as directed) I am happy with the benches. It comes with bench pad that is nice BUT cannot be wiped clean so if you get anything (say yogurt) on it there is a permanent stain. I’d say you get what you pay for and while I like the bench I would’ve paid a bit more for better quality. The pictures are of the replacements and you will notice chips etc that occurred in assembly not from use.

I love the bench! It is exactly what I need for my front hallway. Contrary to what others have said, I had no difficulty putting it together. To be honest, I considered purchasing the expert assembly, but was feeling pretty adventurous, so I dug in this morning! This was my first building project and I used only a screwdriver, a hammer, and the instruction manual. I did get tripped up with step #6 and assembled the drawer sliders backwards, but it was an easy fix at the end. Aside from that, I took my time - it took about 3 hours total because I went slow and was very deliberate, but it turned out beautiful and looks just like the picture! This was my first purchase from Wayfair and I will certainly be buying more!

Purchased three of these in blue for our vacation rental house. The entryway has a small niche and this was the perfect size to fit but still not block the double doors. I like that it’s a storage spot but also a useful bench to sit down on to put shoes on/take off (which will be needed for our target clientele that are mostly older). I’m going to mount a sign above it saying “leave your worries and your shoes by the door.” I also purchased one for inside the garage next to the entry door and one for inside the main suite’s closet. Two arrived slightly damaged with cracks, splits and chips in various spots. I was able to compile the “good pieces” to assemble two and called Wayfair for a replacement of the third. My business rep was super friendly as was the customer service rep that handled the replacement. I was so happy that I ordered another one in gray for a different property and I will definitely be ordering more for our future vacation rental houses.
