Love love love 3 This fantastic thing is more like furniture!!! It’s super strong and sturdy…and the pad is extra tight, thick and tautly secured with a belt looping around the back side. It has that old schoolhigh quality feel. I like that the legs are white (cleanfresh look) and the size is perfect. I would have chosen the simple cream colored cover (not available) but the light blue is somewhat refreshing. And I like it more than I thought I would. The iron rack on the side is made of a heavy duty metal and feels soooo secure and strong…which is important for it to hold a hot, heavy iron. I’m super impressed. The ironing board is heavy and doesn’t squeak like fingernails on a chalkboard when it’s opened. It ‘glides’ open and closed. The legs click into place on the backside securely. It has nice rubber feet and the metal legs are thick metal and very strong. I was reluctant to spend so much money on an IRONING board. Geez. But tbh, they’re all expensive. I’d rather pay more (ok a lot more) and LOVE it than to pay less and have something cheap and rickety that I’ll end up returning (big pain) or having some incident. If you have kids or pets around an ironing board, you would want something solid like this one. I did my homework and the cheap ones have bad reviews (there are some even more expensive too tho, but this one doesn’t fall short). Anyway this board is PHENOMENAL!! Bite the bullet…you won’t regret it. Thank you brabantia for making quality at a time when everyone else seems to cheap out. This thing is for life!!

I am very pleased with Wayfair. The first ironing board was damaged and so Wayfair immediately shipped out another ironing board. This is the Brabantia Model D board. It's a 130 dollar ironing board so it better be special. And it is. I am a very tall man (six five) and stooping over ironing boards kills my back and hips. This one I measured, the board goes up to 40 inches high, so no stooping for me. You can adjust it lower, but 40 inches is high as it will go. That's more than plenty for me. The frame is metal, it's kind of heavy, appears to be very sturdy. The cover is OK, I am probably going to buy the metallic non-stick cover that goes with this (Note: be sure the cover you get is specifically for this one and not one of the other Brabantia ironing boards). It's not just tall, it's also wide, so there is more real estate for me to iron my tall guy dress shirts. To send shirts out for laundering is about 3 dollars a shirt so this will pay for itself soon enough, and to be honest, I am kind of picky and iron shirts objectively better than any cleaners I've ever used. So now I can get those creases lined up *perfectly* without needing to go to the chiropractor every time I iron a shirt. Wayfair customer service was great, I am pleased with the ironing board too, it's very sturdy so far, and easy to open up and close.

Exactly as described, & the website descriptions were so helpful for making my decision. Such detailed information about all the items for sale is very much appreciated. Other sellers did not include specifications I was concerned with. Delivery was quick, I was kept informed about status, and the ironing board arrived in good condition. It is just what I wanted.

This board works really well. It is sturdy ad easy to store. The price was a bit high but it was worth the $$. Took way too long to be delivered however. I think the point of origin was in Germany which made the time frame even longer. The delivery person left it between the condo main lobby doors which is not secure and should never have been left there. It should have been delivered to our unit door at a minimum.

I was so excited to have this up I couldnt wait for the sheetrock repair to be done before taking a picture. (It was necessary to cut a hole for pulling electric to the unit. Get a good electrician- mine cut a way too large a hole.) I got a flat panel door to match my cabinets, which is finished in a white laminate. Unfortunately, as you can see the cabinet sides are unfinished, which was very disappointing for the price. The instructions show that you may need trim where it meets the wall. I did not need as I trimmed my space well and the studs were perfectly spaced to fit. I assume it was left unfinished for that reason. I would like it to be laminated to match the door. The cabinet holds the iron and accessories. It has a built-in timer to turn on power to the unit as well as a trigger switch that turns it off when you close it. Since most laundry rooms lack sufficient task light, I wanted this unit for the task lighting. It is great! Too bad since working from home, I dont have much laundry to iron these days.

I ordered an iron-a-way ironing center. When I unpacked it, the raised panel door was defective, I received a replacement unbelievably fast, and it was in good shape How ever when I ordered the ironing center,I was expecting an iron rest and a sleeve board which was listed as included in the specifications. An ironing board cover was also listed and it came with it. I just checked and it still lists the three items as included in the specifications. Other than that I'm very pleased with the service. I would still like to know why the other two items were not included since your website said they would be. My order number was 2779969426. I gave you five stars because it was excellent service. Still would like the items listed above.

The box of the first built-in ironing board I ordered was damaged, no doubt by the carrier, and consequently the cabinet door had several gouges in it. Wayfair immediately sent me a complete new one. I would have been satisfied with a new door but was pleasantly surprised to receive the whole thing. The quality is excellent and it makes ironing a pleasure!

So...I see this "monolith" delivered in front of my door...and I go to pick it up with visions of light ironing boards, hollowed metal tubing, etc. The thing is heavy as a small auto!! I manage to lug the thing inside and what greets me can only be described as a throwback to when things were built a certain way...like to last a really long time. the cabinet is essentially (most of it) made of wood, you know that stuff that comes from trees? and not a concoction of particles...and the joints are hinges, like they used to use before those spring loaded things that break way too soon. This is a beautiful piece of work, with strong springs, and well designed. its getting harder to find stuff manufactured like this these days. If I am going to build something in, it better be made to last and have some natural materials... I don't iron things, thats for the wife, so as far as ergonomics I will leave that to others with more of a grasp on such matters. What I will say is that the quality and beauty of the piece, from the wood used, the hinges, to the springs in the mechanism and the weight of the board & covering, make this a purchase I would recommend.

So nice to be able to just pack up the board when done and hide it away. Easy to mount and well made. I added a pretty seagrass knob on the door to give it a custom look. Guests had no idea what was in the cabinet!

This is EXACTLY what I was searching for my sewing room. I have much more space, having removed my floor ironing board from the room. I was pleased with the ease of installing the over the door ironing board. This is an efficient addition to my sewing room. I am going to add a folding "leg" to the end of the board, however. The board springs up and down a little. This is a minor flaw, easily remedied. Thank you.

I just love this little portable ironing station. My old miniature ironing board had to be placed on the floor or across a chair, with the iron sitting on a tray on the floor so as not to harm the floor, and it became a complicated thing because I had to watch that the cat did not run into the hot iron on the floor. Whew, so much to focus on. This little table top ironing consolidates a place for the iron and just makes my ironing process less complicated and more safe. Great little investment.

It took us (husband and wife team) about 2.5 hours to install. We followed the directions exactly. It fits just fine between the 2 studs. We did have a small problem because between our studs was a diagonal board that we did not want to cut into. Thus when we set the unit inside the hole, it was not flush with the wall, stuck out about 1/2". We decided to leave it not flush, as the unit has an overhang all the way around that hides the raw edges. And we purchased a very small wood strip to hide this part all the way around, as the raw edges were a little visible from the side. This is only because our unit could not go into the hole all the way. Our unit is installed in a walk-in closet and we put the hinges on the right side, just like the picture. The directions say to put the hangar hook in 1/2" from the edge. We did this and when we closed the door, the hook hit the frame. You need to place the hook about 1" in from the side. Then it fits fine. Pros: Durable white finish. Looks really good. I love it. Cons: None

Turns out I don't hate ironing after all! Who knew! This Ironing Board is a game changer. Not many people would give much thought to something as basic as an ironing board that is almost always tucked away in the closet but we all should, especially that it is such an integral part of our lives. For me, the whole experience of taking the board (traditional one) from the closet, setting it up before proceeding to ironing, and when done ironing, carrying it all the way back to the closet, only to find out that it doesn't fit in the exact same spot it came from anymore, is enough to deter me from undertaking the chore altogether. Now thanks to this setup, it takes less than 5 seconds to set the board up and in no time, we're ready to start ironing, even way before the iron itself is ready! Now let's get to the obvious: Is this board as good as a traditional board? The simple answer is no. It is small and a bit unsteady but in terms of convenience, it scores 9/10 whereas a traditional board 1/10 (trust me, I had a good premium quality Rowenta Board, very wide and perfectly stable.) The ironing experience itself was unparalleled with my old board. Ironing pants was rather easy and pants don't even fit on this foldable board table. I need to iron the upper half then proceed to the lower half. Despite that, I would rather do it in halves, than having to go back to using my old board. This piece of furniture is also very discreet. Unless one has seen one of these before, one would never be able to tell that a full-fledged ironing board is housed inside this compact 'accent' furniture. So much said, is the price of this thing justifiable? Hell no! This board costs an arm and a leg. I was myself very reluctant to spend that kind of money on that but I am happy I did because it has really simplified my life. One thing I wish the designer of this table had put some thought on would be to include a folded arm or something, on which to place the iron as we iron. As it can be seen in the last picture, there is no real room to place the iron as we iron. Regardless, I like this thing so much that I seriously think that all houses, especially condos, should come retrofitted with one of these!

i got this ironing board to use in my apartment as we don't have room for a full size one in NYC. it serves its purpose and the hanging option is more useful than i expected. we can easily hang it in the closet when not in use. the only negative is that one of the legs gets stuck and is hard to open.

I haven’t really tried this out but I needed some kind of iron board. I had a stroke and my hand isn’t working very well. But I am old school. I won’t leave the house wearing a wrinkly anything. I wish my daughters were like me. lol I guess I should buy an iron.

Just as good as the one I have had since about 50 years ago when I got married, finally had to put it out for collection. So when I saw this one advertised decided to purchase right away. Guess what it looks the same and is not quite as heavy to manipulate so very pleased. It fits right behind the door in my sewing room ready for pressing seams as I make things. How often do you have to buy an ironboard? My old one fell apart and Wayfair came to the rescue with this sturdy model. The price was fair, and it is a quality ironing board.

I ordered this same product from A very recognized competitor, not only did I receive the wrong product the response I got from the seller was and I quote, We we’re out of the product you requested ..... So you thought I would just accept a completely different cheaply made product ...... I went to Wayfair that evening which was a Wednesday I had my order in hand on Friday ! That’s what I call customer service !!! I will be ordering from Wayfair from now on!!!

I love the height adjustments. I'm tall and there's a comfortable height setting for me. It came fully assembled, even had the cover in place. Very sturdy, no wobbling like my old ironing board. The attached shelf is a waste. Small or lightweight items slip through the wire rungs. Every time I move the iron, the shelf squeaks. Drove me crazy until I removed it. Overall a great product as long as you're not buying it for the shelf. Pros: Sturdy, well made. Variety of height adjustments. Cons: Shelf squeaks and creaks every time you move the iron. I gave it 4 stars just because the pad is not as sturdy and thick as I expected. Like that it can be folded in half and is perfect for a small laundry room. Got it on sale so I can spare extra $ and try to find a better quality pad although this will be hard since the board folds in half and I haven't been able to find one that will fit this unique board..
