Best All Closet Systems With Reviews

This rack is nice, but not as nice as I was expecting it to be. We bought it to put in our basement laundry area where were we have several other chrome wire shelving racks. It matches perfectly, but it isn't as heavy-duty as the shelving racks we have. I'd bought 2 extra sets of locking casters to use with this so it could be easily moved to access the storage area behind where we're placing it, but the vertical poles are thinner, and they will not support the bolts on the casters. I also found a fold out hanging rod to connect to the vertical poles, but the poles on this rack are at least 1/4" thinner than a standard wire rack, so the hanging bar just kind of dangles. This unit is sturdy, is easy to assemble, and I love the liners that go on the shelves... I just wish it was made the same as our other racks so we could use the accessories we purchased for it. It would have made the piece much more useful for our intended purposes.

The Olivie Closet System was exactly what I was looking for to update my teenager's close and I LOVE how it looks! First, the piece is STURDY. The vertical frame is made up of three welded, metal pieces (approximately 5' in height) - not separate interlocking units as seen in most shelving like this. So, once put together, the structure does not wobble. The horizontal bars are metal, too, and screw into the frame for solid support. The faux walnut shelves are solid and beautiful, so the entire system looks very classy and much more expensive than it is. The set up was EASY! You almost don't need instructions (which are very basic anyway) if you just look at the parts and the image on Wayfair. It took about 30 minutes to put together. But, as noted in other reviews, the delivery box is HEAVY, so beware! Also, if you are planning to put this INSIDE a closet, measure carefully and determine whether or not you have to assemble it IN the closet, because the 47" length may not be able to slide into narrow closet spaces once it is put together. I looked all over for a closet system like this and the Olivie was the most attractive, sturdiest and best price I found!

I wasn't happy that I received no instructions in the 72" length shelf and clothes rack system, which I opened first. I was able to figure out how to assemble and hang based on the .pdf's available on line which was quite helpful. Funny thing was that I also bought a 36" lenght system too, and that box had two sets of instructions. Overall, these are very rugged and well built systems that look attractive and are very functional. I built a new walk-in closet in the master-bedroom and these shelf and rack systems worked perfectly for my closet layout.

I bought several of these kits to complete a walk-in closet and love them. They are extremely sturdy. The handyman that I hired to put them up took about two hours (but there were 5 shelves) and he thought they were very easy to hang and very high quality. The ends have a cap on them so the rod can be used/filled all of the way to the end for more hangers. One shelf did come in cracked but Wayfair is sending a replacement that I can easily install once it is delivered. My only issue is that the shelves are not a pure white and my closet is white. Once I get things on them it really won't be an issue. I love them!

Once order is placed, prepare your walls because shipping is super fast! I installed 4 John Louis Coset Organizers. “Anybody Can Do It” applied to this woman, age 60, who never used a circular saw before. Bought a handheld Ryobi Circular saw for this project. Made a makeshift saw table with my furniture mover turned upside down. Watched a lot of tutorials, and used my quilting ruler to clamp down a metal guide 1 1/8 inch from my cut line for my particular saw to make beautiful cuts. Sometimes needed a bit of sanding to make the shelf fit. I like edges to meet the hardware so used pieces of shims and caulk for a finished look if needed. I used the tip of backing out a clip from the wall, but only had to do this with 2 clips. I used an inch and half level on my clips before tightening the screws by hand. I did need different drywall anchors than the ones provided for my drywall. Also followed tracing around shelfends in position with a level for proper placement of hardware. One 48” board is provided to make 2 shelves for the tower. I used a smaller drill bit size for pegs so they were snug. I used the tip from johnlouiscanada of placing a screw ( the leftover 1” screws work) in the slot above the shelf bracket to keep it from rocking especially when using the wall anchors for the brackets. A small pilot hole in the middle of the slat 1/2 inch in then hand tightening screw worked perfectly. I can see that different buildings might have different variables to consider when installing, but I’m in new construction so everything fit precisely as engineered. I wanted 15” above the tower so placed at 81” and my long hangs at 68” or 69”. I made use of stud placement in configurations.These kits are genius and the hardware and shelving are beautiful.

GREAT closet organizer! This arrived a couple of weeks ago but sat in the box because I needed someone to help me assemble and mount it. It is work to get it set up but if the instructions are followed it's fine. I absolutely love the way it looks and am excited to actually put things on it (after a bit of a purge on my part). I was a bit concerned about the sturdiness, but it is very strong and solid - no issues.

When the boxes arrived, much earlier than expected, I was very concerned because they were squished and one was ripped open. After unpacking, the only damage I found was a tear in the underside of one chair which is a miracle. The packing was atrocious! Assembly was not too difficult but the instructions are quite limited. Just pictures. I didn't notice the bolts that went on the sides under the back until I had assembled 3 chairs. The fourth chair was a breeze because I put the side bolts in first which helped align the back bolt holes. If I had started that way, the assembly would not have been as frustrating. A drill would also make things easier. The color was not what I expected but I absolutely love them! They look elegant and the silver tacks make them look expensive. I only bought 4 chairs but am considering buying 2 more. I am so pleased with the quality. I would definately recommend this product!

Glad I had a team of carpenters in the house as I began to assemble this myself. (I'm retired and use a cane.) I'd thought it was an open cabinet -- easy peasy for me to do. But it's a PART that hangs on a wall support!!! Ack! I got the main cabinet put together, a whole three pieces. Then the carpenters dove into it. Didn't even bother but to glance at the first and last pages of instructions to see how it was supposed to look. They did what they thought was best to be done. There was some cussing involved, but that's just because I had all the storage in that closet figured out to the MILLIMETER, and hadn't thought about quarter-rounds being there on the floor. They came off to give us that half-inch we needed. The intrepid crew got this installed; everything FIT!!!! and it looks GREAT!!!!! It's more than enough for guests to use, and if they need even more space, well, we have hotels in the area, hint. This allows two rows of clothing to be hung. It WILL take at least two people to put up. The thing's heavy! The photo doesn't show the very top. When I don't have guests I can put their collapsible clothes hamper inside, and store the bulky bed topper underneath. (The foldable/inflatable guest bed is stored to the far right in the closet.) When guests are here, those things will be in place in the guest room. Love it!

After buying out new house, our closet system needed to be replaced. I look on so many websites to find one that was adjustable enough to fit in our closet but also something that provided extra room for our clothes. This closet system allowed me to have so much extra space in my closet that I didn’t even know I was missing. The directions were pretty simple to follow, though we had to go out and buy some tools to complete it. It looks beautiful and is very sturdy. For anyone with bifold doors planning to place modular storage units on the far right and far left sides of the closet, I recommend measuring the distance between the wall and the doors when fully open to ensure there is enough clearance for drawers, if you’re using a drawer unit. For my closet, I accounted for a 9-inch area that includes the wall and the door when fully open. I started my modular drawer unit at 9 inches, leaving that space for tall items and other miscellaneous storage. The units went together perfectly, and we only had to clean out a few of the pre-drilled holes. Everything was accurately aligned and easy to assemble. These are neither cheap-looking nor do they have a chemical smell. They cost half as much as similar options from other stores we visited and offered far more customization. I highly recommend them!

I am absolutely in love with this. I bought it to use in place of my dresser. I live in an old farm house so closet space is almost nonexistent. Me and my husband were sharing a dresser which didn’t provide enough space. This solved all my problems. I placed a thick piece of cardboard covered in fabric on top to place my jewelry box and other little things. It is sturdy and supper easy to clean. You can assemble in many different ways to accommodate your space and needs. Assembly wasn’t horrible. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs storage space. Each cube holds 22lbs which is more than enough for clothes. I purchased canvas bins that fit perfectly in the bottom 6 cubes closest to the floor so it makes it easier to access your clothes. If your on the fence about it I highly recommend you try it. You won’t be disappointed.

I love the clean, modern look of these shelves (in my opinion). It was so nice to find shelves that had good supportive brackets and legitimate closet rods as well. I'm clearly not a professional interior decorator. I'm not even a true diy person of any sort. However, even I was able to figure these things out for a decent set up in two simple closets (one of which I uploaded a picture for). If you want to hang the closet rod portion on a shelf, you can do so easily. If you decide that you don't want to utilize the closet rod portion on a shelf, you don't have to, and the shelf will still look normal. The closet rods can be installed separately, placed on a wall, without the shelves as well. So, everything is very versatile which is great. I am really happy with my purchases which arrived early and in excellent condition.

Purchased in white and custom built the most fabulous closet in my 100+ year old home. I also used the stackable bases in the Closetmaid Modular Storage set to get the maximum space out of my 6' x 6' walk-in. The tower was easy to assemble by myself. Instructions were clear. I liked that the shelving units came with a middle support bracket to avoid sagging for wider shelf lengths. Easy to attach the shelves to the top with the brackets. A little tricky to add the shelves to the sides of the bases (make sure you have a level and pencil handy) but pretty easy overall. Would recommend two people to install shelving. Sturdy MDF for the tower and shelves. I liked that the tower was just wide enough for 12" baskets and the slim profile will work in smaller closets. I plan to purchase another for another closet in my home. Highly recommend for custom closet solutions.

Works amazing for my open closet. Great organization piece. Love the grey color. Easy to put together. Very nice looking. Great buy. I dont like the open holes inside the closet walls, cheesy and cheap looking, but its not a deal breaker and you get what you pay for (see pic.) Would definitely recommend this.

This was a great purchase for us to outfit a spare closet in our vacation home. Only issues was that the closet was only 66" and the two rails together were closer to 72" (can't recall exact widths, but you get the idea), so we had to overlap them (though they can also be cut with a hacksaw, but that's not my gig!). All that said, went together easily and looks clean and attractive. Very happy with this purchase... Great quality.

We put this inside of my boyfriend’s bare closet and it has worked very well and looks nice. The adjustable features are a definite plus. We maximized the width of the closet solution and we didn’t use the second hanging bar. So the top hanging bar holds all his hanging items and then he has space under for a separate shoe rack we bought to go between this system. We also liked that we could pick where to put the side shelves and how much space to leave between shelves. If you are a perfectionist like me, there were lines to help count even spacing. Construction was easy.

We ordered this closet organizer for our son’s closet, and it’s a pretty solid piece of furniture! The directions were vague (barely any written words, only photos), but we were able to figure them out. The hardware was mixed in 2 bags, so we separated them and labeled the cups we put them in. That made building it smoother, so we didn’t have to search for the right hardware. I really like the system it uses to mount it to the wall. The only thing we don’t like, is the screws that came in the pack to put the bar across (for hanging things) was a smidge too long, and punctured through the side of the organizer. Frustrating, but it is what it is. We still are giving this a 5 out of 5, because it’s solid and will absolutely get the job done!
