Great carpet cleaner with pets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great carpet cleaner. I have two cats and a dog that go in and out all day. A carpet cleaner in my house is a must. I have now used this cleaner on the floors and the attachment on the couch. The best thing about it is it comes apart so much to clean after use to really rinse everything and get all the pet hair out. I read a lot of reviews that said you could only drain the dirty water from a small hole and therefore couldn't really clean out the dirty water tank. Whoever writes that hasn't read the directions on cleaning and storing. Yes, while you are in the middle of cleaning and need to just dump the dirty water so you can continue on it is a small hole that you use to do that. But when you are done and ready to really rinse the machine out for storage the other end opens up and you pull out the piece on the inside and can completely and easily clean out the dirty water tank. The piece does come out all the way. Some reviewers say it doesn't but it does. I also like the storage tray that it has slots for some of the attachments so everything stores into one place. I do not like that clean water and soap have to be mixed together in the clean water tank. The measure lines are helpful but when I have a very small mess that needs taking care of even the lowest marked level is too much soap and water. So I ended up just eyeballing it when I needed to clean a small spot on my couch. I hate to pour in more to the measure lines and waste the soap. Also because of this you cannot switch between a soap rinse and a water only rinse. I like to rinse with clean water after using soap to make sure there is no soap residue left behind to attract more dirt. To do that with this machine I have to empty the clean container and refill with just water. Doable but my previous machine had the water and soap separate so you could switch between the two. Not a deal breaker but a nice feature when it does that. Overall the pros outweigh the cons and I am happy with my purchase.

Great machine backed up by great customer service
My first experience with Bissell products and customer service began a few years ago with the purchase of the ProHeat Deep Cleaning System 25A3. About nine months into my purchase the machine stopped drawing clean water from the tank, I called customer care and after trying several things it was determined that I needed a replacement water tank so they sent me one no charge. The replacement water tank worked for several months but then it suffered from the same issue as the original tank but unfortunately the warranty period had expired at this point and I didn't want to put any more time and money into this machine. I was determined to find another carpet cleaner (not another Bissell product of course), so I spent many weeks researching products and found that my end result kept pointing me back to Bissell and their Big Green Deep Cleaning Machine (Deep Cleaner 86T3). Now I was very hesitant at purchasing another Bissell product after my first experience and was even more hesitant about spending four times the money as well, but after reading all the reviews and counting on the fact that it came with a five year warranty I was confident that this was the right purchase. I purchased the Big Green and used it probably six times over the past year without issue, and it worked great every time until after this past Christmas. I started cleaning with it as usual and within five minutes clean soapy water started pouring out from around the flow indicator (spinning black & white wheel). I reseated the tanks several times but the flow indicator continued spinning all on its own with water pouring from it and without me using the spray trigger. Needless to say I was very upset at this point having experienced yet another issue with a Bissell product, and a very expensive one at that. The first thing I did was send customer care an email about my issue and then started trolling through the Bissell website for answers to my problem and I assumed that they would advise me to take it to my local service center which unfortunately is 80 miles away. While waiting for a response from my email I took the liberty of calling my Bissell authorized local service center and was disappointed to hear the gentleman tell me that they "don't like to service Bissell products under warranty" and that "Bissell products are not built very well" but I could drop it off and they would get back to me in a few months. At this point I was beginning to regret my purchase of the Big Green in a BIG way, until I checked my email the following day. I was absolutely ecstatic to hear back from Nick at Bissell customer care who told me to take a photo of the serial number sticker on my machine and another photo of the cut the cord and send the photos to him then he would send me a new machine. Within one week my new Big Green arrived and runs great, all my carpets are perfectly clean once again and Bissell customer care has completely renewed my faith in Bissell products and customer service. This has been the best customer service experience I have ever had with any product purchase, I give Bissell Customer Care service ten stars. Thanks again Nick, you are the man.
