We got this step stool so that our kids could reach the sink to brush their teeth. It works really well for that. It is quite sturdy, and easy to fold up when the step isn't needed. I do have a few issues with it. It's a little bit wobbly (the legs are slightly different sizes) but it levels out when you put weight on it so it isn't a problem when standing on it. A few of the pilot holes for the screws were slightly off, but we were able to make them work. The wood could be higher quality, there are a few rough spots and some uneven stain. It also slips around a lot on the floor... more so than other stools we own, but we solved that with some stick on rubber feet. We would have liked better quality of workmanship for the price, but overall we are satisfied with the form, function, and strength of this step stool.

After shopping locally for a replacement step stool and being disappointed in the quality available, I took to searching on-line. I luckily came across Wayfair and found this great step stool. It’s metal not aluminum, has very sturdy construction and had a max. weight limit of 300 pounds versus 225; which was a concern for my husband. Plus I liked that it was more attractive for home use. Very happy!

I got this step stool in blue and while I love the pop of color the stool appeared to have been slightly used; think scuff marks on one side and a little dirt on the top. I chose not to return it because the item itself it functional and not seriously damaged. Would I have preferred a brand new, unscuffed step stool - sure. But let's face it, this step stool works and, when not in use, sits between my stove and refrigerator. At the end of the day, I really don't care about the scuff marks.

What a sturdy stool this is. Seeing another review by a woman mentioning that her husband put this together in 10-15 minutes without getting mad, I knew I could order this step stool! My husband said he put it together in 5 minutes tops and that it went together without even looking at the instructions. He was shocked and pleased. The only thing we didn’t like was that the top step had some yellow discoloring on it. It is much bigger than I expected, but I failed to look at the description. It is perfect for both big people and little people to use.

This is a higher end assemble-yourself piece. The instructions were excellent and the pieces themselves were good quality. The color is as pictured. I have a stain called golden mahogany that this matches almost perfectly. Its lighter than most people would picture mahogany being, I think, and its warmer toned- just slightly reddish. It doesnt store a lot but the storage is a nice feature. We use it so my 2 yr. old can get into our bed at night if she wakes up and needs comfort. Even my husband commented that this was a beautiful piece.

I love this stool. It is just the perfect size and height I needed to reach my bathroom counter. The only thing I don’t like is the color. I wanted dark to match my dark cabinet but wasn’t available and also after using it for about a week, it has developed a slight creak. That was surprising to me with the very large weight limit. As a diabetic, I agree with another review that if I used it without shoes, it would be hard on my feet. I don’t go barefooted so where I use it, that wasn’t a problem for me. I would buy it again.

This is not your moms step ladder.. it is heavy, sturdy and so nice to look at. Its stands alone and not something you need to hide. It does not wiggle or creak and the width allows both of your feet to be firmly on the step. Ive included my main reason for needing it..recessed lighting in my living area. Ive also used it in my storage unit to organize. This will not need to be replaced ever. Its that solid.

This is a fabulous little step ladder. I love that it is designed to be free standing when folded. I thought I'd have to lean it against a wall or something but it works anywhere in a room when not in use because it stands on it's own. It's very well made and the the shipping really protects the product. It arrives fully assemble and ready to use. It isn't inexpensive but in this case you definitely get what you pay for. It was perfect for use in our newly remodeled walk in closet to reach the top shelves and, like I said before, when not in use looks perfectly fine free-standing, out of the way in the closet.

I love my orange ladder. I was looking for a step ladder that I could leave in plain sight, and this is it. I mounted it for easy access in my mud room,and it looks very cool. It's very sturdy, opens easily, folds easily with the convenient lift of the hidden bar. It's balanced and strong and well worth the money. I would definitely recommend this ladder and purchase again.

This ladder exceeded my expectations! I was hesitant to purchase it, even after reading all the great reviews…but I’m so glad I went for it. I have another ladder that was serving its purpose, but it’s big and heavy and I hate dealing with it. But this ladder (I got the white one) is awesome!! Much easier to lift and open up. I was worried about it being narrow or the steps being shallow, but so far it’s been great. I’m very happy with my purchase and may buy another of the smaller sizes too. One word of caution If you tend to be unstable on your feet at certain heights, I’d say make sure you don’t stretch yourself too far and that you have one hand free to hold onto the top of the ladder, especially if you’re on the top step—not because the ladder itself is unstable, but because you can lose your balance standing on it (particularly if looking up to change light bulbs).

I have a Cherry Rice Bed that is very high. This cherry-finish step fits my furniture perfectly. The style and structure are very nice. I weigh 300 lbs and this has supported me without any problems...it is very sturdy and durable. I would recommend that any one looking for a cherry-finish step system for their bed...sleigh or Rice Bed that has an extra high plush mattress system consider this product as a beneficial addition to their decor.

We bought a new bed set which is higher off the ground than our prior one, with the mattress and an 4 inch memory foam on top, it is tall and it felt like I was exercising trying to get into bed!! This stool works perfectly for me, it slides under the bed in the morning. At bedtime I can easily slide it back out with my foot and get into bed much easier. I could see this being put to use for many uses, the fact that the legs fold down if need be is a real space saver. We are getting a new mattress that will not sit as high so I will not need it for getting into bed. It will be nice to have around for items on tall shelves etc.

OK, first, this was a clearance item, so value, decent. It is small, by that I mean narrow overall width, and narrow step width. If used as shown in the picture as a decorative shelf it would be fine. As an actual step stool, Im a bit reticent. But this was for an aging cat and for that it works great. The finish is so-so, there was some corner wear even out of the box. But for the price, I can live with it. Assembly was simple, the documentation incomplete. Had it not been a small item with few parts, it would have been a struggle. None of the parts were identified to match the illustrations so I just had to match them up. Not a big deal for me but someone with less experience might still be scratching their head. Overall, it does what I needed it to, but dont expect it to be an item you can use constantly as a step stool to reach high items. Im not sure it would hold up under those conditions.

The materials for this step stool seem sturdy but light enough that it’s pretty easy to pick up and move around. There is a little lever that’s easy to engage when you fold it up and holds well to keep it all together when not in use or when you move it. I got the jade color and it’s very lovely but I wish there was more of a sage color as an option. It is pretty enough to keep out rather than digging a utility step stool out of a closet to reach taller shelvescupboards, which I have to do often as I’m short. The only issues is the step surface is smooth, and since it doesn’t have a handle bar, it may not be a good choice for people with balance issues or who feel unsteady on step ladders. Some of the protective felt on the areas where wood pieces end up touching then folding or unfolding started peeling off the first day, but you can’t easily see it if you aren’t looking for it and appears to be an easy fix with glue, but I’ve been too lazy to address it because it’s so unnoticeable. Assembly wasn’t too difficult as long as you review the instructions prior to starting assembly. Overall I am happy with this purchase and have already gotten a lot of use out of it.

After buying a new bed, I was surprised by how high the bed was, and needed help getting in and out. This Step Stool is perfect for me. I bought the darker wood and it fits in nicely. It is a solid, fine looking piece of furniture, and it goes well with our darker wood bedroom suite. It has made my life safer and more independent, and I no longer have to wake my husband up in the middle of the night to help me get back into bed. That is priceless!

I havent put it together yet but I love the style and color. I mistakenly assumed it would be tall enough to use as an extra bar seat from the kitchen side, but I am becoming more savvy for online Wayfair shopping to look at all the measurements very carefully. As a kid they might have been this height and I remembered wrong. But the style reminds me of kid memories and Im really short and always need a stool. I might put it in my bedroom for reaching shelves in there and keep using the fold away slimmer stool in my tiny spaced kitchen since itd be too short as a stool to the bar that separates the small kitchen from the small living room. Its too cute to not be seen and used.

Great stool! Very antique / vintage looking. Cool design. I knocked a star off for the following: (1) on one side of the stool the black paint is crackling, and (2) hard plastic was installed on the bottom of the legs instead of rubber... with the plastic, the stool slides around (quite dangerous)... my husband had to remove the plastic bottoms and replace with rubber which is now much safer... and (3) black paint was on the plastic parts of the legs, so for a while there, we were dealing with black paint flakes coming off and going all over the floor. The cons are not so big of an issue that I would purchase this item even with the cons since it is super cool looking and serves its purpose.

I love this piece, it's so beautiful. I wish it folded up to store, so it wouldn't take up too much space. I use it to move between my closet and bookshelf, but it's easy to set things on while its not in use, which was definitely not intended. It arrived already fully built, so the package was very large. It was very carefully packaged; each leg was individually wrapped, and there was some industrial staples that had to be carefully removed. There were tiny flaws where some of the nailed sections were not filled and showed a minor dent. It's the tiniest bit wobbly, which isn't a good or safe thing, so I have to be a little more careful. It's also a little scary standing on the very top step, as it's easy to lean too far forward and the stool can lose its balance with you. Overall it's beautiful and the material is lovely, but definitely requires being very present while in use lol
