As you shop here are some things to keep in mind:

Table Size is a key factor when thinking about headcount for your restaurant.

  • For guests to eat comfortably (and avoid bumping elbows), each guest should have 24"– 26" of horizontal space.
  • To steer clear of dings and scratches, keep 6" between chairs.
  • Don’t forget, table legs may take away a few inches on each side.

Table Height will directly impact the chairs you are purchasing to match your table. As a general rule there should be approximately 10"–12" between the chair seat and the bottom of the table.

  1. Standard Height: Range from 28”-30” high and are best used with chairs that have a seat height of 18” - 23”.
  2. Counter Height: Range from 34”-36” high and are best used with chairs that have a seat height of 24” - 26”.
  3. Bar Height: Range from 40”-43” high and are best used with chairs that have a seat height of 28” - 30”.
  4. Adjustable: Many table bases feature the option to adjust their height. When purchasing these tables make sure to keep in mind the above guidelines about seat height to ensure compatibility.

Table Top Shapes can provide different benefits and help to optimize your space.

  1. Round table tops are great for groups as they make it easy for conversation to flow across the table. For maximum stability pair with a round table base.
  2. Square table tops provide the most flexibility to adjust based on party size, easily combinable to create larger rectangular options or great on their own.
  3. Rectangular table tops are the ideal option for large parties, but keep in mind the size and weight of these larger tops to ensure that the base (or bases) selected can accommodate.

Table Top Material is important in ensuring aesthetic and durability. Our wide variety of table materials will help you create a great atmosphere for years to come.

  1. Laminate: Made out of plastic and can come in a variety of colors and finishes (faux wood, faux marble, etc.). Can be easily damaged by high heat exposure. Majority are meant for indoor use unless otherwise stated.
  2. Wood: Long lasting product but real wood requires maintenance to maintain the product’s appearance. Majority are meant for indoor use unless otherwise stated.
  3. Granite: Extremely durable and great for use indoors or outdoors. When purchasing keep in mind table top weight to ensure that your base can hold the top.
  4. Quartz: Slightly less durable than granite but still great for use indoors or outdoors. When purchasing keep in mind table top weight to ensure that your base can hold the top.
  5. Metal: Varying types of metal options can be great for both indoor and outdoor table tops. Popular materials include:
  • Stainless Steel: Easy to clean and unlikely to rust or corrode. Has a high tolerance for heat making it a great option for indoor or outdoor. Note that the lower the steel gauge the thicker the product.
  • Powder Coated Steel: Powder coating is a stronger option than standard paint jobs in addition to preventing rust and corrosion. Great for outdoor use.
