One small nook is all Jen, of i heart organizing, needed to create a one-stop station of creativity and learning for her son. This mom has made sure there is a place for everything, making it easy for kids to own their space and keep it neat. From the fun wall hooks to the desk's own cubby system to the trendy boxes used to hold art supplies, fun and attractive organization encourages kids (and grown-ups) to pick up after themselves.

Involve children in the decorating. Asking for input on paint choices, desk accessories, or even chairs and desks allows kids to take ownership and feel proud of "their" homework station. Consider leaving details (like where small items are stored) up to children, and you'll see they'll value their "grown-up" space even more.
