Inside a Complete-Home Registry

Engaged and renovating, this couple chose gifts for every room.

Shortly after getting engaged, newlyweds Brynne and Rodney bought a fixer-upper with big plans to renovate. So, in addition to the traditional gift-list, the pair chose hardware, lights, flooring, and furniture. Here, they share how they filled their home with just one registry, and advice for couples doing the same. Take a look.

The Kitchen

On choosing materials: "Even though our new home is a colonial, I love mid-century design, so we registered for brushed brass hardware and vintage-looking pendantsto get that look, while also adding classic subway tiles and hardwood floors."

On the design: "We chose neutral shades that we knew we wouldn't get sick of, then added one color we both loved: teal blue. It became our accent throughout the home and made picking products easy."

The Dining Room

When choosing furniture: "Take advantage of the group gifting option. Our families were excited to give us our dining table — something we'll all enjoy together."

On rounding out the list: "We chose basic kitchen and bath items, and we added throws and picture frames. Guests were happy to have a variety of options."

The Bathroom

On doing what works for you: "Don't stress if every room isn't completely figured out. We registered for a TV stand because we fell in love with it and knew we'd use it somewhere. Once it arrived, we discovered it was perfect as our bathroom vanity!"
