What you'll need:
- Felt
- Glue
- Scissors
- Leather jewelry string
Step 1: Cut two identical pieces of felt in a rectangular shape. Make sure the width of the felt piece is about one inch wider than the size of your largest make-up brush.
Step 2: Next, glue all four corners of both felt pieces together.
Step 3: As soon as the glue dries, roll the shortest side of felt about one inch towards the center.
Step 4: Make two 1/2 inch cuts in the center of the roll about a 1/2 inch each apart. Keep rolling in the felt and repeat at varying intervals to create as many brush pockets as desired.
Step 5: Now it's time to make the tie that will wrap around the roll. Grab one end of the felt piece, pinch together in the center, and make a small slice/hole with your scissors.
Step 6: Take the leather jewelry string and thread it through the hole. The string length should be at least 10 inches long in order to wrap around the roll several times.
Step 7: Finally, thread the string through the hole and tie in a knot on the inside side of the roll and on the other end.
