DIY Apple Topiary

Learn how to make this simple, seasonal centerpiece.

My favorite Thanksgiving centerpiece is this easy apple and boxwood topiary. I make it every year, and always get plenty of compliments on it. See how to make your own in just a few simple steps.

What You'll Need

About 3 bags of small- to medium-sized red apples (or faux apples)
Boxwood clippings, for filler
Graduated cylinder-shaped wood block with hammered nails

Note: I've had this wood block for years. Any graduated cylinder shape will work. Home Depot will be able to shape one for you. Once you have this piece, you'll keep it for years and years.

Instructions

Starting at the bottom, stick the apples onto the nails until the cylinder is covered.

Fill in the gaps with boxwood cuttings. Make sure the wood base is completely covered.

That's it! It's so simple to make and will make a stunning tabletop centerpiece or a decoration right on your entryway table.
