Best Doormats With Reviews

This rug was purchased to replace the one at my front door which I have had for 7 years! Hopefully this one will last as long! I had a hard time finding this size (30" x 48") for an affordable price. I had purchased my former rug for about $25 at a local big box store, so the price of this one at $59.99 was not too terrible a price considering other similar rugs of this size were more than $150 at other retailers. It fits perfectly at my large front door (it spans the front door and the side lights on each side of the door), lays flat and is heavy so I don't have to worry about it moving around under foot or because of wind and weather. And it's actually big enough for someone to stand on and wipe their feet of dirt, mud or snow before entering my home. I love the way the half moon shape looks at the front door and the carving of the rug makes it look like sunshine! The color is as shown online. I read that some buyers had a problem with cracking of the rubber, but my mat came in without any damage to the rubber. Many also commented on the rug absorbing a lot of water and therefore making the rug a mess. I would agree that if you leave this door mat in an unprotected area (uncovered porch) it will get water logged in the rain and freeze in the winter. It is best suited for a covered porch where it is not subjected directly to the weather and can just do it's job, which is getting the stuff off the bottom of your shoes. As for cleaning the rug, twice a year - once in the spring and once in the fall - we hose it down and let it dry in the sun. I'm happy with my purchase and hope I do not have to buy again for another 7 years!

Good product, ver happy with it - only issue is that the rug filters during product search simply don't work when selected (in this case we had to have a 4x6 mat) Finding a product that was actually 4x6 required essentially reading detailed specs for every single entry mat that Wayfair offers. Turned what should have been a 30 minute activity, into one that took several hours spread out over several days. I have experienced this same issue of ineffective filters on almost everything I have purchased. Maybe a marketing person thinks serving up more suggestions that don't apply to the filter request is a good idea. I don't. If this is done intentionally, then these nonconforming suggestions should be restricted to a separate (small area) and clearly labeled in order not to waste users time. In my case, only about 5% of the filtered search results were actually available in the required size (meaning for every 4x6 mat I looked at, I had To read the detailed spec section of 19 other mats not actually available in the required size.

I was very satisfied with these door mats. They're thick enough to be effective but not so thick that the door catches on them. They extend farther than you'd think a half-oval rug would but still fit nicely in the doorway. Mine are dark brown but the pattern still comes through and looks great. I looked locally but these were better than anything I could find in a store. One nice thing about these that I have not always experienced buying rugs online is that these unrolled and stayed flat immediately. You didn't have to weight the corners down or any of that nonsense. These also stay in place nicely - so far no skidding or moving. A good purchase!

I previously posted a 2 star on this, I couldn't find a way to edit the original so doing another one. I originally bought one for back door for dogs, color was ugly and other choices wasn't much better. I put the black and white rug down in my long hair dogs bed for them to sleep on, they shed like crazy but after a week I didn't notice any hair laying on top of it. I started running my hand over the rug and the amount of hair it was hiding inside the fibers could have made a sweater. I'm impressed with its ability to hide dog hair and how easy it is to extract. I bought a different color to put at the back door where the dogs come in, again, not a pretty rug but it really does a great job on mud and water when they come in. I recommend them highly, about to buy a 3rd one now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are enjoying this rug in our heavy traffic entryway. The anti-slip backing allow for traction on our tiled floors, preventing the rug from moving. We (and more importantly, the kids) are able to brush off any dirt brought in from outside with ease. I have been able to run the vacuum over the rug, having no difficulty removing debris and dirt from outdoors. My wife has placed several decorative rugs in this space and they all quickly stain, despite daily vacuum cleanings. The rug measures 2 feet by 5 feet and immediately upon unrolling, it laid flat on its own. The edges are rounded and I find that the kids are less likely to drag their feet and pull up the corners. We are able to easily open the door without catching on the rug, despite a low door to floor clearance. I believe we have finally found a winner for this space that is durable and with a darker rug, it should hide stains a bit better, too. We plan on purchasing the smaller rugs for our cats' food and litter areas, as I believe these rugs will hold up to quite a bit of abuse.

I was looking for a coir mat that looked nice while being heavy enough to withstand the wind in our rural area. This is a thick mat that has a good bit of weight with no fear of it being blown away. The red color is more of a barn red, which is exactly what I was looking for to complement my door and shutter color. I purchased the 2'x3' and it was the perfect size. It arrived within days of ordering, as well ,and Wayfair gets bonus points from me for that! I got this at an excellent price point for the quality, and am more than pleased with my purchase!

This mat looks beautiful - the border is a crisp dark brown. It has a non-slip backing which will also keep it from rotting, and the price was excellent. My only concern is that the backing does not have a finished edge - not even a cheap glue reinforcement around the edges - so the coir at the edges is vulnerable to peeling off the backing. I tugged at it slightly, and it seems this could happen somewhat easily. I'm hoping that normal use won't lead to loss of the mat around the edges. Time will tell, but aside from this, the mat is beautiful, and I would give it 5 stars but for this issue.

I ordered this mat after I saw it on Jillian Harris' social media and I love it! It was delivered on time. I also had a gift card to use towards my purchase but when I placed my order online it went through without asking for my gift card information. I called in and the representative was super helpful, she applied my gift card to the order and issued the refund immediately. This was my first experience with Wayfair and I couldn't be more pleased. Definitely will be ordering again.

I love this rug because I enjoy watching any outdoor birds & my indoor pet birds! It's NOT kept outside, but is just inside the back door which leads into the kitchen. Lovely colors+ design on a sturdy, well-made coir rug. I already own the same rug+ can't remember where I purchased it. It lasted quite a number of years & just now ripped a little on one side* We have another plain coir rug outside to wipe any wet dirt+ snow off our shoes/boots prior to entering the kitchen (which has blue cabinets).

The cordelia Seaturtle outdoor Welcome doormat arrived yesterday. I am from Florida, so my home has a beach theme both indoors and out. This mat is very generous in size. It is well made and durable. The instructions for care recommend not to put in standing water and keep under sheltered area. I placed it at my front door under my porch. It is adorable and should last. Also care included to keep clean by shaking or brushing the sand and dirt particles often. The doormat was a little more expensive than others I have purchased in the past. It has a thick non-skid backing which is of utmost importance. My company will enjoy for many years to come.

This is a really nice looking mat. So far (only a week or so in) I have noticed that is does NOT shed (a HUGE plus in my book; our last mat left a trail all through the first floor), it doesn’t seem to slide too much (but it is pushed up against our doorframe), and it just looks great. It is a bit scratchy, so if you go barefoot you might notice it at first, but a week in nobody seems too upset by this one small factor as one might think (perhaps it’s gotten softer over the week?). I don’t think I’ll need a new mat for quite some time!!!

For the price, these are great. I purchased two to place at the bottom of our porch steps on both sides of the house. They’re thick and look really high end. They do darken when wet which doesn’t look bad but I could understand if some found that as a negative. Mine are exposed to rain and have been hit by water across the full surface so they’re a consistent (darker) color now but if only patches were wet, they’d look splotchy. Nice to have something that’s not entirely plastic. Still a 55 in my opinion.

We love this doormat! It is on our deck which is partially covered by an extended roof, but the doormat still sees rain, snow and lots of sun. However, it looks like we just bought it yesterday and we have had it for two years! I think the key is that the words and design are rubber, not just a print on top of the coir. I reviewed the doormat we bought for our front door that is just black printing on coir, which wore off within a year, but this one still looks fantastic! It is 1" high, so may be too high for some doors, which it was for our front door. But works fine for our sliding glass patio doors.

Serves its purpose. We previously had a similar rubber doormat that also had some type of natural fiber that we kept at the entrance to our sliding back door. Unfortunately due to the fact that the area is uncovered, the natural fibers would get soggy during rain and never dry off properly. This was an excellent alternative since it is solely rubber and can just be hosed off. But you will need a runner or another mat on the inside to catch any wetness or moisture on shoes from outside.

The Welcome Door Mat arrived in a timely manner and exactly as pictured/expected. Rating with 5 stars, but I would warn dog owners, pet hair is hard to get out of the welcome mat. We typically use our back entrance, but do hang out on the front porch (where the mat is) with our dogs. The product is great and high quality and pet hair gets stuck in everything but it especially hard to get out of this mat. When purchasing another mat down the road, I will probably look for one that is easier to shake off. Still worth the 5 stars, beautiful and will last a long time.

I love this mat!!!! It is stunning and I’m not use to calling a door mat stunning but this one is!! I LOVE THE QUALITY, however, it’s so amazingly thick (good thing!) I have to get use to stepping up to the mat!! This may be a concern for older people as it’s easy to stub your toe on the mat and could be dangerous for this with any difficulty stepping up. I am very happy with this purchase - a great value for the money and made in the USA! The mat comes in many colors to coordinate with house colors (I ordered gray and love it)! Also love the beachy pattern for our beach house. It does not slip around, has been through heavy rain storms and is even machine washable! Sand and dirt can be shaken right off. I considered many other door mats on this site and am so glad I got this one!

Very pretty, and very functional! I absolutely love the pattern. We have had a few pet potty accidents, and they have been relatively easy to clean up. When this happens I usually place it in our utility sink, spray it down with water, work in some hand soap or laundry detergent, and then rinse it. I have it in the smaller and the larger sizes, and this method works for both. In the summer I sometimes hose it down outside. The grey color hides dirt well, so I don't feel like I have to constantly clean it after the family uses it to wipe their feet. Dog hair does stick to it quite a bit, and is not easy to vacuum away. It hasn't been a huge bother to us because it doesn't really show much, so I haven't worked super hard to find a solution. Something to note though if that really bothers you. I'm thinking of buying more for our porch steps!

I got the half-circle version and it was just the right size for the small space in front of our door. We have since moved and took this with us, the first time I have ever taken a welcome mat with me. Holds up well and looks nice. It does catch leaves, bark, etc., in the openings, but it's easy enough to lift it and sweep that away. This was in a covered area before and is now open to the weather. So far so good, and if it starts to show wear I'll just get another one since I like it so much. Another good thing in the PNW? Since there are openings and not one solid surface, it is unlikely to develop mold underneath or attract unwanted bugs hiding out from the rain. We are on the coast and even w/ all the moisture in the air have had zero probs w/ any mold or smell.
