The colors are beautiful with the white, off white different shades of gray and blue with a very small dash of gold. Super soft on the feet. The size was perfect for my space. We got this rug a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I was a little apprehensive about A. Durability since we have dogs and this is in a high traffic room and B. How soft it would be on bare feet. First of all the rug is absolutely beautiful, classic and modern. It had a very earthy smell when I took it out of the packaging that lasted a few days but wasn't unpleasant. All the edges laid flat so no issues there. I haven't noticed any shedding or dirt near the rug. Regarding my concern about durability...there are a couple knots that have come up but I've tucked them back in easily. I did buy plastic sliders for my coffee table so that the legs wouldn't snag anything when we move the table around. I would suggest doing the same if you like to move your table around like we do. I have found a couple stray sticks sticking out - I just pulled them out. I guess thats to be expected from a natural rug. Regarding softness, the first thing my husband said when he walked barefoot on the rug was, "It's so soft!". I walk barefoot on this rug everyday and do not think it is rough or unpleasant. I ordered the 11' x 15'. This is a large rug for a very affordable price. It is very thin (but I expected that) and the colors are spot on to the photos on the website. I love the soft variety of color in the rug which help it to blend well in our family room. I didn't order a rug pad for underneath only because I wanted my Rumba to be able to make it under the sofa and clearance was barely possible already. But, if that wasn't an issue I would recommend purchasing a rug pad for underneath. This rug did have wrinkles but slowly they are working themselves out.. Donna.
