About This Product

ALTHROP® has been developed and engineered to obtain the best nonskid performance for a rug pad. The product is made of two different polyester fibers needle-punched together and coated, on both sides, with a specially formulated water-based, pressure-sensitive dry adhesive that will outperform pads coated with a plain polymeric-acrylic resin.  ALTHROPs two components, containing 12 ounces of fiber per square yard, gives the pad enough body and density to resist the horizontal movement that creates the buckling effect of the underlay under the rug.

Features

  • Super easy to install, no special tools required, and easily picked up for re-positioning.
  • A rug pad should be sized 1-2" smaller than the rug/mat and can be cut with household scissors. For oversize mats, simply affix two underlays side-by-side (no splicing tape is necessary). Assure the floor is clean and dry, then place the rug with the rug pad on it in its proper position.
  • Works on ALL flooring types: hardwood, tile, marble, carpet, linoleum, etc… Onepad. Anyfloor.
  • Provides superior protection against unwanted moisture and mildew buildup commonly seen with mesh-type rug pads. Will not rot, crumble, flatten out, shed fibers, nor damage floors as seen with rubber backed rug pads.
  • Suitable for use with underfloor heating not exceeding a temperature of 89F.

    This printer stand is very sturdy and well designed ❣️ It is helpful to have a second pair of hands for the first few boards. Very important NOT to tighten the screws on the first 4 shelves. Once the back boards are in place then you tighten all the screws. Tighten them as you do lug nuts, a little bit on each side until all are tight. The long screws are for the back boards! Back board have a right side which has no holes. The wrong side has where there are plastic inserts to keep the screws tight. We assembled it laying on the floor. The shelves are very sturdy. Our printer has a big lid so we placed on the top shelf. That might be too high for some. It has nice rollers for hardwood floors. Very pleased with this unit.

    Rug Pad Size:Rectangular 2' x 8'

    We purchased two hall rugs (runners) to reduce wear on newly installed carpet. Before I bought the Althrop rug pads, the runners would bunch up and/or move out of place as we walked on them. I tried a couple of methods to keep the rugs in place (sticky corner patches & carpet tape) but those didn't work. The Althrop Reversible Dual Surface Pad DID work! Once I attached the Althrop pads and got them in place, the hall rugs haven't moved. We are talking about six months of walking up and down the hall several times a day. Those rugs are exactly where I placed them. I've peaked underneath to check on our carpet and it is in perfect condition. Thank you Althrop. I highly recommend this product.

    Rug Pad Size:Rectangular 9' x 12'

    Great dual surface rug using it on carpet and so far l have to say I’m very happy and impressed it works great, my brother uses a walker and we have had tried with other products and have not been happy with them, but this one has stayed in place with him pushing his walker over it. Thanks A+++++
