This litter scoop has a large capacity scoop. I think it would be a better design to have smaller openings on the grid. A longer, solid handle would be better and offer more stability. I bought this to use with our new jumbo, enclosed litter box. I need a scoop that can reach the back of the box and have the ability to “dig down” and remove all deposits to prevent odors.

I loved this, This is very practical. It helps me a lot in the day to day to do the cleaning, it also helps with the odor because the smell of cat urine stays in the plastic and goes away with it.

I Don’t know what’s up With the bad reviews of this! It Doesn’t Slide it has a built in Mat! It doesn’t Stink! I have a CAT with a bad leg that was abused and her leg was broken and it healed straight! She always kicks litter out. It’s not her Fault! I leave a box for her in my sunroom. I use a planter box so No one knows it’s a Box! But the litter was becoming an issue . Now there’s LITTER ON THIS MAT!!! Can you see it IF IT BOTHERS YOU Buy it. Worth the Price! PLUS I LOVE THAT IT MATCHES THE INDOOR OUTDOOR BLUE GREY CARPET. I have spent a lot of money on Cat mats!!! There too much work! I can vacuum this! Also probably could wipe it No problem! I would suggest a Rag and some Oxi you use for laundry!

This works great for catching the litter when the cats are coming out of the litter box. I dont have to sweep up very much. I just pick it up, fold it in half and dump it back in the litter box. The cats have no problem walking on it.

I bought this product several months ago. Works great cat took to it right too, however With the hood not having a flap up front it really stinks. Yes it’s scoop free which is wonderful but the poo is pushed right to the front of the box. The litter does not control the smell in the poo holding spot. If there was a flap it would at least keep the smell in, so I can actually let the litter stay in it for longer than 2 days as it states is what it’s designed to do, then I wouldn’t have to scoop it out of the little itty bitty holding slot. Just my opinion. Thx for listening.

I didn't think it would be so small, but it's definitely helping control the cat litter. It was a daily battle with it on the floor, but this has pretty much caught it all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, initially I was very unsure about my cats comfort level using this box. Crystals, as litter, do not seem like a natural substance for them to be comfortable with, as they have only used regular scoopable litter. Apparently, my concerns are not their not their concerns. I wasn’t sure if they were actually using this PetSafe ScoopFree box (they are outdoor cats) because their is no way to visibly check their waste without lifting the entire box top and opening the trap door. However, after doing so, I was pleasantly surprised, that indeed they have succeeded in the new change. With that, a few things I like about this litter box: 1. Odor. There is absolutely no odor...I can walk by its location and not even know that I just passed my cats toilet. 2. Outside the box. There is no longer a litter trail on the floor. I have noticed a few crystals, but nothing compared to regular litter. And...the crystals are much easier to sweep up than litter. 3. Size. It is much smaller than my previous automatic cat box (rotating barrel that constantly breaks down). It is easier on eye than the monster bulky one I had. However, the area for them to do their business, is much wider and I have yet to see cat waste on the sidewalls. 4. Clean. There is virtually nothing left behind after it is raked into its little hideaway. Only the poo gets raked, the urine stays but is absorbed within the crystals. The cardboard doesn’t get soggy due to a plastic coating. 5. Noise level. I have had this box for one week and have yet to hear it in its raking motion. 6. Easy to use. Once it is ready for use, there is nothing else to do except replace the litter tray when full. 7. Lightweight. It literally has little to no weight. So, lifting the box to check or remove the waste is easy and convenient. A few cons... 1. There is no way to check to the waste area unless the entire box top is removed and trap door opened. Probably not an issue for some, but for me, with a busy household and schedule, I’m a convenience snob and would prefer a more practical way to bend over, lift a tab or the trap door as I am passing by. 2. Trays. While I have only had this a short period to date, the tray waste area is small. 10-15 days (for 2 cats) is suggested for tray removal. Therefore requiring at least 2 trays per month...leading me #3. 3. Cost. Trays are not inexpensive. Definitely more costly then a months worth of litter. However, convenience negates this issue...at this time. Maybe at some point this company may develop a catch and remove feature to save on the expense. Overall, I am very pleased with this ScoopFree box.

I have a cat who I think just finds it pleasing to spread as much litter throughout the house as possible, and finally I decided to look for a mat to try to contain the madness (which is what it feels like when you sweep your floors five times in one afternoon!). This mat is perfect! It is somewhat heavy so my cat can't move it or push litter under it (she would try), and it is SO easy to clean! That is the best part really cause mats I've had in the past were a real pain to get the litter off (I hate those mesh mats). You might want to measure where you're putting this mat because it is actually a bit larger than you would assume.

Since I have a very large covered little box, I have been having trouble finding a mat that's bigger than it! This one has solved my problem. There is enough space for the cats the scrape their paws before leaving the room. Much less kitty littler all over the place!

I have used my SCOOP 'N' HIDE for over a year now. It is next to the litter box in my bathroom. Easy to use and keeps the scooper out of sight and tidy. I do wish it was heavier because the action of removing and returning the scoop to the holder is clumsy. My solution was to use a bag of 375 copper pennies in the base to keep the unit on the floor when using it. I filled a sock with the pennies, but a sandbag may work as well.

One of the best purchases I have ever made lol! But seriously for years I was buying the standard plastic scoop and as we all know they break after multiple uses Now that we have this metal scoop I can clean the kitty litter without worrying that it will break mid scoop. This will be the LAST scoop that I ever buy. Love the comfort handle and the large scooping capability

I think this has really helped to reduce the amount of tracked litter. The only drawback is that it is not rectangular. It’s more like a trapezoid. I couldn’t quite tell that from the photos, so it looks kind of wonky in their potty area.

It is the perfect size for putting under the litter box. It is almost impossible for the kitten to jump out and not hit the mat. Binx and some cats like to see if they can jump out of the box and miss the mat. As soon as I put it down, he had to use the litter and throw a bunch of litter out of the box. It was easy to sweep most of it up and the hand-held vacuum cleaner did the rest. The only problem I experienced was with the shipment. They put it in a shipping bag and the sticky glue was stuck to the mat and it left marks. That can be hidden by the litter box.

I have an awkward spot where ours cats boxes are and was able to easily cut off a couple of corners to make this fit perfectly. (One might argue I had mis-measured originally, but this worked better than if I had gotten a smaller size). We and our cats are very happy with it.

I bought this to replace another litter mat that I had and did so based on the glowing reviews. The size is great ~ and I am very happy with that! It is about twice the size of the two previous mats that I had using which were put together side by side ~ so it is very cost effective. And it does do a very good job of keeping the litter in place. However, does it do a better job than my previous mats? Maybe just slightly. It does work very well and I would buy it again. But it isn't quite the magical mat that it is written up to be. And it isn't quite as thick as I was expecting. However, all in all ~ I am very pleased with the size and its performance. Nice, attractive color brown, too!

I ordered one, it arrived on schedule, used it once and it broke. Wayfair immediately shipped a new one. Have used it a dozen times so far and it works great. Thats what I love most about Wayfair. They always make it right!
