Bought this for my sphynx cat who can’t stay outside for long periods of time but I want to let him get some fresh air! Having the solid weatherproof roof helps block any sunlight and keeps him shaded. My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house.
