I purchased this solid wood kitchen island through Wayfair Products Verified, and honestly I thought it was going to be a nightmare to assemble because of all the rails, drawers, and amount of pieces included. Surprisingly, it was actually pretty easy to put together. The pre-made holes were perfectly aligned and all the instructions were very clear. I had seen some reviews saying the assembly process was terrible, but that wasn’t my experience at all. I think this has been the biggest furniture project I’ve done because of the number of pieces, but overall the process was smooth and easy to follow. I’m definitely not disappointed with this purchase. My only concern is the back panel of the island since it feels super thin compared to the rest of the structure. Just put it together today (by myself, mind you!), so I can’t speak to the quality long term, but it’s perfect for what I need right now. Took me an about 2 hours to put together - lining up the heavy top was a little bit of a struggle, but i got it after a few adjustments. It’s heavier duty partial board, but the coating on it seems like it’ll hold up well. The quality is as it should be for the price point. The reason for a 4-star rating is I have not really started using it but it appears it is going to serve the purpose for which I intended…more counter space, room for my granddaughters to join me in craft-making, and not overly big.. This is an awesome piece of furniture that I originally had in black. When I sought it out in white I was very happy to see that Wayfair still carries them. I keep all my “old fashion” condiments on the right side in the swinging corner along with my gear to “smoke them. Everyone says mine are the BEST. Because you can tell it was purchased under 350 and not custom made from real wood. It doesn’t look cheap, because it is pretty…but as soon as you touch it, you know its fake wood, and it’s not sturdy or heavy. But it’s nice to look at, and I just hope it holds up to real use.
