Woodridge Elite Playground
I purchased this playground for my kids for Christmas 2018. I searched for over a year and finally made a decision on this playground. It has been the best decision I could have made. My kids are 3 and 5 (Almost 4 and 6, just a few more weeks) and I wanted something that would last them well over a year or two. This playset is definitely it!!! This playground has just about everything!!! 2 play houses (One on top and One on bottom) wave slide, rock wall, crawl tunnel, swings, and trapeze bar. The ONLY down fall to this product would be the installation instructions. My dad was the main man to put this together for my kids and he is a carpenter of 20 years, but the instruction were all over the place. One set of instructions would tell you to install it "this" way while the other set of instructions for the same step would tell you differently. The wood pieces were not labeled properly or not at all. What took the longest for this playset to be finished and put together was finding what pieces you needed and getting them ready for the next step. Day 1: There were 2 men putting this together for 9 hours. Day 2: 4 men for 5 hours then only 2 men for 4 hours. Day 3: 1 man for 8/9 hours and Day 4: 1 man 8/9 hours. Day 5: 1 hour and one man to attach slide and make finishing touches (Making sure everything was tight and were it needed to be). All in all this playset was worth the money and time/hassel to install. I am 5'5" and 133lbs and I can fit through the crawl tunnel and play on this playset with my kids. This was a big plus for me. As of right now the playset has been together for 1 week. I will update in the future if anything changes!!!

Solidly built, easy though long assembly
I bought this a month ago and over the past week or so finally had time to assemble. Using the BILT app, assembly was a breeze - though it took me more than the 10 hours it stated, assembly was closer to 16-18 hours over a period of a few days. One suggestion I have is to better organize the boxes. It would have been nice to only have to open and unpack one box at a time, but for the first step some pieces were in both boxes 1 and 3. Overall quality is great and it came out just like the pictures on the web site. I did run into a few small issues, however: 1. A few pieces had factory errors, most egregiously one of the large wall pieces had predrilled holes that had been drilled about a foot off of where they should have been, almost like the predrilling was done with the panel reversed. Another one I had to break out the circular aaw and cut a floorboard, because one of the boards came pre-assembled offset from the others by mistake. 2. Some of the pieces were cracked, mostly minor but one piece was actually fully split where it came apart into two pieces when I picked it up. 3. Some of the predrilled panels had screws that didn't look screwed in all the way, but were stripped so couldn't go in further. Luckily, I do woodworking as a hobby and was equipped to be able to fix these issues myself, but someone without the tools or experience would likely have needed to request replacement pieces. My daughter loves it, and I'm happy with how it came out. The above issues make my rating 3.5 stars, though I can't do half stars here so four it is. I was able to correct all factory errors but not everyone can do that.

Great play center for the kids
I bought this set in August of 2015 at the end of the season to get a better price. Finding after the set was built that the original price would have been well worth the money. I actually did not build the set until April 2016 after some rainy and cold weather kept me from starting on it as soon as I received it. After sitting for 7 months the wood was still in perfect condition and very easy to work with. While deciding which set to purchase I read and researched a lot of reviews of the set. I actually found quite a few that were really detailed and helpful, although I had to be careful because some of them were for the earlier model and the instructions are different for each one. I think the most helpful was a review that suggested using sandwich bags to separate the hardware for each step. Take time to go thru the instruction book page by page to familiarize yourself with the steps. As you do put the hardware for each step in its own baggy and label it for that step. It will take you about 4 to 5 hours to do this but it is worth it as it makes the steps go faster while actually building, not having to take time to pull the hardware for each step as you go, plus it inventories the hardware so you know if you are short on anything before starting. Separating the boards is a must. You will need a lot of space to do so. I had a space in the very back of my yard that we spread a trucker tarp to lay them on and put another over them so if it rained during construction the boards would not be sitting in water until used. As you inventory the boards, putting them in alphabetically order, then putting each letter in numerical order is very helpful with time spent building. Each step is detailed as to which boards and hardware is needed, but please be careful to pay close attention as to the orientation of the boards. Most have predrilled holes that will need to be in the right places for following steps. In some steps it is difficult to see which way the predrilled holes are supposed to go, but if you look ahead a couple steps to check where other boards might intersect with that board it will help to make it clear which way to position it. If you are careful and make sure each board is positioned correctly there is no need to drill guide holes except in the few places where the instructions actually tell you to drill a hole. The building process was easy. Being a truck driver my husband is on the road a lot so I built the set by myself. The first weekend consisted of 5 hours on Sunday, after spending Saturday separating the boards and hardware. The week was only 1 hour after work on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, got rained out on Thursday and Friday. The second weekend was 8 hours on Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday, 1hour after work on Monday, with the finishing touches (attaching the slide, rock wall, ladder and swings) being done in 1 1/2 hours after work on that Tuesday. A total of 23.5 hours. I feel like having a helper would have only been someone in the way. Having two "A" ladders was very helpful though, as I used them to hold the swing bar up while I attached it to the play-set. And it also eliminated the need to continuously move one ladder from side to side while working. I bought the optional floor that covers the sand box area. I had some issues with this part of the building process. While installing I had to cut the two end pieces, they were about 1/2 of an inch too long. I also discovered that the predrilled holes were measured incorrectly on the floor boards. When the factory drilled the holes they fell right at the edge of the board they were to be attached to instead of in the middle of it. Problem solved by screwing them in at an angle and the extra floor space allows for a bigger play area without the worry of sand and dirt. I also did not use the monkey bars, grandkids still a little young for those. Instead I called Backyard Discovery and ordered another M1 and 4 more M24s to make where the monkey bars would go enclosed like the opposite side (Step 37). Helpful suggestions: If you do get the optional floor….Do NOT install the L2 boards in step 6 (of the play set instructions). DO install the optional floor before you do step 18, in which you will have to cut O2 to fit above the floor board. I then bought a little L brace to attach O2 to the floor board. In step 55 before attaching the J2 boards it would benefit you to go to step 58 and attach the two M25 boards to the J2 boards before attaching the J2 boards to the crow’s nest bottom. If you attach the J2s first, when you go to attach the M25s the roof will be in the way of being able to screw the screws in. The only Con that I can honestly say I see with this play set is the sliding board. It was very difficult to put together and does not seem sturdy. I wish it had come with the one piece thick plastic slide I saw with some of the other sets. I do not think it will last very long. The rest of the play set is very sturdy. I weigh 190 lbs. and while constructing this set I climbed all over it. Once the second floor floorboards were installed I stood on them to continue to build the upper level of the set. I even had to climb into the crow’s nest to build part of it. None of the boards felt like they would break under my weight. After replacing one of the swings with a baby swing, all of the grandkids can and will enjoy this play set for years to come. I added some pictures of the building process.

Hours of Fun with the Willow Creek Swing Set!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hey there, fellow parents and playground enthusiasts! Today, I'm thrilled to share my firsthand experience with the Sportspower Willow Creek Swing Set, which has been an absolute hit in our backyard. As a parent of two energetic kids, I'm always on the lookout for safe and entertaining outdoor playsets, and this one ticks all the boxes. First impressions matter, and the Willow Creek Swing Set definitely didn't disappoint. Upon delivery, the set came well-packaged with clear instructions and all the necessary hardware for assembly. Assembling the playset took some time, but with my partner's help, it was a fun bonding activity that gave us a sense of accomplishment once completed. I'd recommend setting aside a weekend for assembly, but the effort is well worth it. The first thing that struck me about this swing set was its sturdy construction. The combination of high quality spruce wood and durable plastic components ensures that it can withstand the rough and tumble of active kids. Safety was a paramount concern for us, and I was relieved to find that all the swing chains had plastic-coated grips to prevent pinching little fingers. The Willow Creek Swing Set comes with two classic belt swings, a flying saucer swing, and a slide. The swings are perfectly sized and provide a smooth and comfortable ride for the kids. My little ones spend hours soaring through the air, and the flying saucer has become a favorite spot for imaginative play as they pretend to fly to distant lands. The crowning feature of the set is the sturdy slide. It's just the right height for our children, offering a thrilling descent without being too intimidating. I appreciate the additional safety features, such as the high side rails and wide steps, ensuring the kids can easily climb up without slipping. Overall, the Willow Creek Swing Set has exceeded my expectations. Not only does it keep the kids entertained and active outdoors, but it also provides a safe environment for them to burn off all that youthful energy. It's a fantastic investment in family fun and outdoor play, and I can't recommend it enough for parents looking to create lasting memories in their own backyard.

Very happy with overall experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for our kids for Christmas (3rd wk of November) and was concerned it might not get here on time given the vague time frame for delivery. Brenda from customer service was so helpful throughout. From helping me with the initial purchase, to providing me with updates along the way, she was always extremely responsive and informative. Delivery was scheduled and came from the freight company a few weeks before Christmas (ahead of the expected timeframe given). I built the swing set with my Dad and while we thought we could do it in 6 hours or so (he's a retired tradesman and I have grown up in a similar environment), it still took us about 12-13 hours all in all. I was surprised by this since I consider both of us very handy, but we lost a lot of time just trying to dig the set into the ground to get it level. This was by far the greatest challenge so if possible I'd recommend leveling the ground first. Even though it took a while it was fairly easy all the way through. I was very very very impressed with the organization of all of the parts and how easily identifiable they were as we went through the steps to build. In fact, I was initially drawn and was willing to pay more for Gorilla since I knew many of the holes were pre-drilled and the reviews for set up/installation were pretty solid. I cannot stress enough how happy I am that I made this decision and did not settle for less. It would not have been worth it to buy a cheaper set that might come without these things. My only two issues were that the telescope came a little damaged to the point where I could not affix/mount it on the bracket that it came with, and there was one (one out of hundreds that is) 6" bolt that came with damaged threads and we couldn't get a nut onto the end of it. I emailed Brenda at customer service and once again, she answered me within 30 mins and had the two parts shipped to me right away. So great. The kids haven't spent much time on the swing set just yet and I have only had it up for less than 5 days, so I can't speak to durability etc., but overall I am very pleased with my experiences with Gorilla so far and I would definitely recommend.

Our kids love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a couple weeks of research, we settled on the Pioneer Peak playset with the standard roof as a birthday present for our twins who just turned 4. The product shipped and was delivered extremely quick - we ordered on 9/17 and it was delivered on 9/24. All of the wood pieces were clearly labeled, which made it easy for my dad and I to organize everything before construction. We ended up needing to make a trip to the hardware store for a few pieces of hardware (missing 4 t-nuts and 4 bolts, which to be honest might have been included and we just misplaced them), but we had planned on needing to make at least one trip based on experience with prior playset builds. Construction was pretty straight-forward. The assembly guide did a good job with diagrams and instructions. My dad and I are both handy and even taking our time it only took us about 20 hours to unpack, organize, and build. I'm very pleased with the sturdiness and overall quality of the product so far. I still need to apply a sealant, but so far we haven't experienced any wood chipping/cracking/splitting. And for what matters most - our kids (and all their friends in the neighborhood) love it! Watching their imaginations go to work playing different games, swinging for hours on end, having fun with their friends - my wife and I are very happy with the purchase.

Beautiful Swing Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just finished putting this together and it is a wonderful swingset. Our daughter has wanted to play on it every day so far. It is a decent time investment to put together and seal yourself (a week of solid work around a full time job). Helpful to have a couple people to help hold things. A couple of notes/modifications for anyone interested - (1) our swingset did not ship anywhere near the initial time listed on the product page. Once you buy it they note that it can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to ship and ours took closer to the 4 weeks mark vs. the 7-10 days. (2) Ours came with three green flags and one yellow flag instead of the two green and two yellow flags shown. Not a big deal to us but others may care. (3) We couldn't really tell from the instructions where the third set of handles were supposed to go. So we put them on the outside of the opening near the rock wall. Now having looked at the photos online closer there are two sets on the skyloft (just in case anyone else has trouble picking that out). (4) Our daughter is younger and not quite ready for the skyloft yet - so we moved the tic-tac-toe board down to the main loft across from the slide. The railing "spindles" are not the same length between the skyloft and the main loft so we took extra roof boards (from the sky loft add) and cut them to size. (5) Again since our daughter is younger we removed a couple of boards on the rock climbing wall and spaced out the rest so it could also be used like a ladder (for very small feet). This makes it easier for our daughter (who doesn't quite grasp the concept of rock-climbing yet) to use.

It took several days of an experienced craftsman to put this set together as the instructions are not simple, but once together it’s beautiful and very much worth the money. The instructions are super complicated and I suggest reading them ahead of time to familiarize yourself with what you’re getting into. The manufacturer could have made it easier by using a simpler method to label the pieces (such as A, AA, AAA, etc) instead they use numbers such as 6304, 6672, 6901 which makes it even more difficult when half of the numbers are illegible due to the number only being half stamped on. Also the screws are not labeled as they should be. The instructions will indicate use of a 2-12 screw, however, none of the hundreds of screws and bolts provided are labeled. So you need to measure on your own and label the bags so you use the proper screws and bolts. The instructions are also not straight forward and a lot of guess work and common sense is required. Pictures and not written instructions which can be confusing when the pictures are very small. You will need to be familiar with how to use a drill and have an access to an array of different tools. Some of the holes are predrilled but not many. Those that are predrilled usually caused the boards to be very crooked, so you will need to drill your own holes anyways. I also suggest throwing a coat of Thompson’s water seal on it as the wood seemed to be bare. We put one coat of Thompson’s advanced and the wood soaked it up immediately. The quality of materials is decent and we are very happy with the purchase so far. I would recommend buying this set but know assembly is not for those without knowledge of how to use a power tool, saw, or ability to identify a 2-38 screw. This project is not for the faint of heart and you should not expect to have it assembled within a day. Understand this is a project that will take you a couple of days to assemble and you will need to have patience.
