Please forgive me, I am disabled have just lost my father so I have not been able to get it installed yet. I am truly grateful for the product and appreciate the kindness support of the customer service people’s!!! I wish I can send y’all a picture because I see it as a picture perfect!!! much needed for the Texas heat out here in the countryside for my wonderful dogs to use for needed shade plus enhancement of my entrance to my special handicap cabin I have been working on for 5 years and I being alone as a old crippled up Cowboy Minister they retired me even after 7 spinal cord surgeries walking out of two wheelchairs still need arm canes yet I have no income federal government has denied me 3 times disability insurance and health insurance hence taking 5 years to final finish I appreciate that I chose y’all as my final products to purchase for you’ve helped me save money for a final vision of a well designed handicap cabin that will be inviting beautiful functional when finished I will send y’all a picture yet give me a little more time for I cannot afford to hire workers so I just keep on keeping on like a pace yet I am getting there!!! When considering options to create shade on our deck, I didn't want a permanent structure as it would be in front of our dining room window and we would lose a lot of sunlight through that window in the winter if we could not remove the shade cover from the deck. We decided to build a square frame that we could attach and remove this sail from. It works so beautifully and we have done it for three summers now. It's lightweight which makes it easy to do this every year and easy to store. I am so thrilled with our decision and love the quality of this product.

This is a great cover, and is very big. I love that it is able to let water through, but block out the extremely hot sun that we get in Texas. Our hot season lasts a long time. Make sure to measure the area that you need it for before you order. This is very important as it needs to be taut when you put it up. I think this is a great shade fabric sail.

Good quality and sturdy fabric. We just have not been able to find a suitable base for it to be free standing. In the description it did not include a recommended base for this specifically. That would have been helpful to be an option to buy as a set.

I put the 12'x12' sail up on mounts that were about 16'x16'. I used heavy duty bungie straps, instead of the mounting hardware that came with the sail, to see how it would look. Turns out the bungie straps worked real well and pulled the sail real tight. I think I may leave it that way. I am really very happy with this product.

Cannot beat the price for some shade. This item has been a life saver in our backyard by our pool. Must more effective than an umbrella (not to mention you do not have to worry about putting it up, taking it down, blowing away in the wind, bending, etc). I have had a few friends purchase this same product after seeing ours. Great for some nice shade, and also creates a relaxing environment.

The sail is aestheticly pleasing and adds protection from the sun and tree debris. It unfortunately is not waterproof as you can see in the picture. I was hoping it would be since under the questions 2 times it was asked if it was waterproof and wayfair had answered “yes”. I would still recommend this product but not if it is needed to protect from rain.

It's essentially what I expected and hoped for. Makes great shade. I have 2 of these now over my south and west windows in my living room. Blocking the direct sun cools the room off by 15+ degrees on a hot day. It also covers my deck and makes that area much more enjoyable to be on. This holds up well in wind gusts.

So far so good! Arrived sooner than promised and I had it up by the pool that afternoon. Makes a huge difference. I'm sure some UV gets through, but it's now bearable to sit out on a sunny day and watch the grandkids play in the pool. Even the slightest breeze keeps you so much cooler. During very windy or expected rain periods I tie one corner off lower than the other 3, this allows water to run off and not pool. We had 3" of rain last night and it held up fine and shed all the water. Hope to get two summers out of it.

Been using the shade sail for a year, it is light-weight & terrific! The corners finished with rings & ties are very sturdy/substantial. Its porous so not rain proof but really does keep the sun's heat out. I removed the shade sail from the pergola over winter to keep it clean & clear of leaves/debris and restrung it in spring. So easy! An excellent product!

It is great for our back deck. Very happy that I read other peoples' ratings too. It does take a good week or so to full stretch out so be prepared and don't make all corners permanant! One needs to have a knot that can be tightened. Great product for the price.

The back yard has NO shade in it at al and this covered our whole patio and then some, so far it's been great, we've had a bit of rain and the rain does tend to build on it a bit but the sail is slightly porous so the rain that did fall underneath was a lighter mist. It works brilliantly to cool off the patio however. The shipping was very speedy and it arrived in great condition!

Our patio has no built-in cover, so we used to have to chase the shade just to sit outside. Installing this shade took my husband and me about 20 minutes, and it immediately provided a comfortable shaded area for most of the day—except during the peak heat of summer afternoons. In cooler weather, it's even better. This shade is a great option whether you want a temporary or more permanent solution. It’s very easy to set up. You will need a hardware kit—or just grab what you need from the hardware store—for mounting it permanently or seasonally. It's also versatile enough to take camping: just tie it to trees or your camper, and you’ve got instant shade. The included long ropes on all corners make that easy. Ours has been up all summer and still looks great—no fading or fraying. As the cold weather approaches, I’m getting ready to take it down and store it for the next 6–8 months. Have loved the shade sails look for years and finally have the opportunity to add this to my patio decor. Love the option for different sizes and colors - I had a large space to fill so with this sale and one larger, we created not just the necessary shade for a large open space but also allowed us to play with different colors and sizes. Very pleasing ambiance! The only challenge that gave this four vs five stars was trying to maneuver the attachment sites to fit the space. Ultimately it fit, but it was challenging.

The Coolaroo brand sail is great. We have gotten several years of life out of our first sail, granted I made a minor repair to one seam which made it as good as new. Only lately have we decided to replace with the same size, color and brand since over time we found that it appears to have stretched somewhat in the center. Other than that it is still in workable condition and will find another use for it as it is nowhere being considered disposable. The 18' triangle fits perfect over our patio and the green is serene and comforting, blending in well with the natural setting of surrounding trees. We have 2 ends secured to our house structure and the 3rd end is secured to a 4"x10' aluminum post of which is painted white and has a topper that matches our vinyl fencing. All 3 points are removeable during bouts of poor weather involving heavy winds. Otherwise our sail is up 24/7 most days. We have lined the border with patio lights that are also hooked up to the 3 secure points that we attach our sail to. It makes for a very relaxing space. Living in Florida, we do get nice breezes but without this sail over our patio, the heat from the sun can be unbearable at times especially during midday. With the sail up, I would say it is cooler sitting outside under the sail by almost 10° to 15° and by the method this sail is manufactured, it is breathable where air can pass through it, but during any rain, by having the sail hung with a slight pitch, the water runs off so we don't get wet. Highly recommend!!!!!

It turns out that he did not have his lemonade stand so we put the party shade in a clearing in the woods of our home for him and his friends to play.
