Best Fire Pits With Reviews

I'm one season in and have burnt a LOT of wood in this thing. The primary reason for purchasing was to cut up and burn trees that had fallen in the woods behind our house (we had an ash borer kill all our ash trees a couple years back and now they are starting to fall). We live in a nice, wooded neighborhood and while I might have been able to get away with a bonfire, I didn't want to jeopardize being the hillbilly on the street. The pit is deep and the screen siding provides ample air circulation. My fires are big and hot and usually require 24 hours for the ashes to cool. The bottom grate is a bit warped but since my fires are hot enough to molt iron, I'm not surprised. I keep it under a roof under our deck so it's never been exposed to rain or the elements. I considered spraying it with rustproof spray from Home Depot but the instructions say it won't work on super hot temps. Very happy with this purchase!

Awesome table and very quick delivery. High quality, heavy material and looks much more expensive than you'd think! I assembled it alone (not-so-handy woman here ), yet I wouldn't recommend doing so as it took me 3 hours trying to balance the heavy pieces on my foot while trying to attach them to the base . While I succeeded in assembling, the instructions are pretty terrible. There are several different sizes of screw and once I separated them by size/type all bets were off. The diagrams of the screws all look the same with an "x#" notation telling you how many there should be. They were easily separated with the naked eye, but multiple sizes had the same quantity. Since they all looked The same in the manual, I was using common sense to determine what size screw it was referring to in each step. That didn't go so well as I ended up using the wrong screws in a step and realized two steps later resulting in a partial disassemble to correct. The instructions are primarily diagrams with minimal explanation and the ---- that "points" from the screw to the hole it's supposed to go in is quite confusing when there are multiple holes in the area. Either way if I can do it so can you and the end result is very worth it!

We ordered this fire pit in July and have had it outside and uncovered on our porch since then (it’s now almost november). It’s seen sunny Houston triple digits for weeks on end, plenty of rain, and my little kids playing and jumping all over it and with the rocks inside. It still looks brand new and has held up well so far to our not so gentle treatment. What a great value for both the size and quality (heavy, sturdy, rust free) you get with the piece. As far as the fire goes, it’s not my first recommendation if warmth is your one and only goal. However, I think that goes for most fire pits in this style. Please note, the hose that connects to the propane tank is not super long, so keep that in mind if you hope to keep the propane tank far away, as you may need to find a way to extend the hose. Our tank (which we keep under the matching tank cover it comes with) is just a few feet away from the fire pit and the hose that it came with does* reach.

The quality of the firepit is impressive and the look that the round glass on top of the table is really classy! Piecing together the gas ignition on the table and wiring it is not super easy but not too hard either. Just pay close attention to the instructions and you'll be fine. The glass "pebbles" are really cool and we really enjoy firing it up and admiring it. We do have a couple of wish-list things that could perhaps make it even more useful: when not using the firepit, it would be really nice if Polywood offered a cover for the pit that would sit flushed against the table making it completely useful. It could either be of the same metal as the firepit or the Polywood material. We ended buying a round tray from Amazon that is slightly larger than the hole diameter. #2 would be a plus if the table had some sort of small storage trays underneath the round top. some solution that would slide out from below the top and allow up to store thin things like coasters and alike. I know we purchased it sort of at the wrong season in the year and we can't wait for the colder months to come and allow us to have fondue while the firepit is running. Of course on a fondue pot, in case anyone got confused. Highly recommend considering purchasing this table and chairs to go with it! Thanks Polywood, y'all are awesome!

This was my first order with Wayfair. Everyone couldn’t have been nicer. We love our purchase of the fire pit. The size is great. It’s the biggest one we’ve seen. We like the bar that goes around the entire unit as it makes it easy to move the fire pit as well as having a spot to put your feet to warm them up. The included screen, cover & poker made it an extra bonus. The open sides allows for heat to distrusted from the sides plus you can see the flames from all angles. The only negative that I would have was that due to the material the fire pit is made from, after using it shortly after we received it, we noticed some rust on the unit as well as the screen. This was something that was mentioned in the directions. We did repaint it, but probably need to paint it with paint that withstands high temperatures. Overall a GREAT purchase.

I just finished with the assembled yesterday it took me and my hubby 2 hours to complete the assembly on this steel propane fire pit table, bought a propane tank and viola I have a firepit table..its beautiful..me and my husband enjoyed the firepit last night it is warm after few minutes..I bought a blue glass for firepit in the other site I mix it with lava rocks Ive noticed one of the glass was toss on the air and one glass split into two Ive realized these blue glass for firepit is dangerous so what I did Ive put the blue glass on the side only because these blue glass looks beautiful on the firepit, the lava rocks place them in the middle firepit..

I ordered this Sept 6th. After not hearing anything for 3 weeks I called they told me there might be a delay in shipping to call back in 3 days if I still didn’t get an update. I called back after 4 days was told they would make an inquiry from the warehouse. During this time the item in my orders changed to “ back ordered “. At this time I decided to cancel the order. 6 days later I received the shipment but lo behold it wasn’t the right fire table. From my research it appears it’s the same company but in a beige wood like finish. It also came with the wind glass which this model isn’t supposed to have. I called Wayfair they offered me a refund if I shipped back for free or 25 off if I kept it. I decided to keep it as it will still match my outdoor furniture. Will update once it’s put together we get a chance to use it. Wayfair made a follow up call the next day to see if I was happy with the resolution. I commend their customer service dept. I’m giving a 5 star rating as of now despite the issues with shipping.

The Fire Pit was well packed and arrived in good condition and undamaged. It appears to be well made. I liked that the pit handles are welded on. I thought the grate could have been a little heavier duty ( yet to be determined) and the included fire poker was a bit anemic. The only problem I had (as noted in other reviews) was the hardware. The four bolts for the base had countersunk heads, however neither the base or brackets had countersunk holes. The nuts that went with them were the nylon insert type to eliminate the need for lock washers, however it occurred to me that the bottom of a fire pit might get hot (Ya think ?) and the nylon might melt (Duh). A quick trip to the hardware store resolved the problem. I did not bother to contact CS as others have. not worth the effort. The only other issue I had was with Wayfair not the Fire Pit. I had a 10% off "Coupon" (NOT A REBATE). Coupons and discounts have to be applied to the price before sales tax. That's the law. Wayfair charged me sales tax on the full price and then only credited me 10% off the price before sales tax.

So far so good! This looks great on my deck and puts off a nice amount of heat. The specs say not to put on a flammable area such as a deck but the heat comes out of the top of the fire pit and the bottom stays cool so I haven't had any issues with this. The cover that comes with this is super flimsy and a light cream color which is a terrible design but I just cover it with a tarp in the winters. The fire pit table itself is really nice, solid, and lights easily. The appearance is very nice and modern with clean edges. It is quite heavy so it takes 2 people to move it, but the handles make this easy to do. Overall a really great purchase and I am super happy with this.

I really love this fire pit. We have used it a few times and I would give it 5 stars if not for its quirks. 1. It has to be turned on full to fully light 2.you have to be pushing the igniter and the gas button at the same time. With ours if I don’t have the gas turned up all the way it sputters and only partially ignites the bar. 3 Easily affected by a light wind. We have ours on an open but protected porch and a little breeze was blowing out part of the flame on the bar. Our solution was to put up a screen on that part of the deck where the wind was coming through. And again it wasn’t a very strong breeze and I was surprised it had such an affect. As soon as we put the screen up there was no issue. I am also aware that they sell wind screen/blocker you can place on the fire pit ( I didn’t want to go that way I like the open flame) .

I give this fire pit 5 stars. It’s larger than the typical square fire pit that you see by Endless Summer, the one that every retailer carries. The octagon shape adds interest and looks great. The cover that comes with it is very nice high quality. Assembly is restively easy. It probably took about a half hour. It puts out a good amount of heat. If you are sitting near it, it does keep you warm. Used it on a 60 degree day with partial sun and we were warm. The lava rocks are a little messy (the box is filled with dust and small particles from the rocks, so be careful not to just dump it out definitely don’t open it inside). Fire glass would be nicer and I plan to replace it with that. Also you need to let the pit cool for about 5-10 minutes before you can put the canvas cover on it, since the circular center does not have a metal cover, you don’t want the canvas to melt. A center cover would be nice for that purpose, but other than that, you don’t really need the center covered to convert to a table bc the edges around it are plenty wide enough to set glasses and even plates. We cooked marshmallows and made s’mores and it was perfect.

This fire table is nice. I gave it only 4 stars because the instructions regarding how to assemble the part that holds the propane tank are difficult to understand and possibly wrong. Make sure you install the part that has the hole for the base of the tank in a position that the tank will fit. Otherwise you will have to take part of it apart to reassemble when you find the tank doesn't fit. In the wind, obviously it's not great. If you are in a windy area, you may prefer a table with a glass wind shield. Other than those comments, the table came very well packed, all parts were easy to fit together, it has legs that make it easy to level, and it starts easily. The lid is a great advantage in our area where pine needles often fall. This item is good value for the price. Enjoy your fire table. :)

This was a great purchase for us as we wanted something for our front patio for cooler evenings. It was very easy to put together is pretty sturdy as well. The flame is good and it definitely puts out the heat I was expecting from it. There are a couple things I wish I didn't have to deal with, but for the price I can live with them. First, it won't stay lit when I first light it without holding the switch in to keep the gas going. I think the regulator on this on is a little touchy. I have to hold in the switch and keep the flame going for 10-20 seconds before I'm able to release it without the flame going out. Also, the ignitor is hit or miss on lighting, so I always have a lighter on standby just in case. The regulator also whistles a little if I turn it down a little from the high setting and stays that way until it's too low to really be how I want it. It's not that loud, but enough to hear it. None of these things keeps it from being operational, just little annoyances.

Right now it’s the middle of winter, but my hubby wanted to give me a fire pit for my birthday. I chose this table model and it now sits in our family room awaiting its first lighting outdoors. It actually looks like a piece of furniture in our home! Assembly was just fine. I took heed from other reviewers which helped me with the leg location and fitting the door. All went smoothly! Honestly, the worst part was dealing with the usual styrofoam packing mess and all the cardboard. I bought a glass top for the table, hoping it will repel rain if the top isn’t on, as rain won’t get into the fire bowl through the top insert’s seams. I also purchased another cover to use over the one included, as next winter the fire pit will be outside. After looking at MANY fire pits online, this one at Wayfair was reasonably priced and the wood-look top, with its angles and two-tone effect is very appealing. Looking forward to the first lighting and warmth from the 50000 btu’s!

After searching for a while, reading tons of reviews, I decided to go with the Burlington Fire Pit table. So far, it has been great. I like the design, the fact I can make it a table with the cover it comes with, and the 50,000 BTU for a bit more warmth when the weather changes. Easy to assemble (I did it myself with some help from my 12 yo), gas tank fits in perfectly underneath. We have used it 3 times, and it has turned on with no problem, enjoyed the warmth and made s'mores. The cover it comes with (and now Im referring to the black one that covers the unit when we are done with it, for rain and snow) its thin and Im not sure how long it will last. It has rained a lot on that, and the fire pit was dry after. I did get another cover after reading reviews, just in case, and because I need something sturdier for the NE weather. It does not have the feel of a wood fire pit, of course, but I wanted something I could turn on quickly if I felt like it, without having to look for wood, work on the fire, and turn it off when we are done, without having to wait until the wood burns off. No smoke, no smell of smoke on my hair, clothes, etc, which is a great plus for me. If I want that, I can still do it with a regular fire pit, and some days I may, but I will be using my gas fire pit WAY more frequently than the wood one. As for durability, I will have to update my review in a few months....

Perfect little fire pit for our deck. We wanted to be able to put it on our wood deck and when we received it realized it has a small drainage hole in the metal part (which makes sense for when it rains) but that combined with the bottom section being completely bottomless/open means embers can fall through to the deck which is obviously a fire hazard. We’re planning on putting a metal pan underneath (maybe a round oven pizza pan) so that we don’t have to worry. For now we have it propped on an upside down metal planter. We are going to spray paint the metal with a fire resistant bbq rustoleum paint to protect it. It WILL require repainting with use. We’ve used it twice now and it already has melted the paint off the black metal grid, which is expected considering such high temps in a small space. It’s great because using small pieces of wood allows us to control how long we want the fire to last for without having to wait for hours like a big pit would require. Great purchase, looks good too. It’s as expected.

MY DECK IS SMALL AND THIS FIRE PIT TABLE IS JUST THE PERFECT FIT. THE FIRE PIT TABLE DID NOT COME WITH AN INSERT TO COVER THE PIT WHEN NOT USING THE FIRE, SO MY HUSBAND CUT A PIECE OF WOOD THE RIGHT SIZE AND WE INSERT IT INTO THE SPACE TO USE IT AS OUR DECK TABLE FOR APPETIZERS WHEN ENTERTAINING GUESTS. THE GRAY CEMENT/WOOD LOOK HAS A CLASSY LOOKING RUSTIC FLAVOUR THAT BLENDS IN WITH ALMOST ANY DECOR. SURFACE CLEAN UP IS EASY JUST SOME SOAP AND WATER. WE CHOSE THE BLUE GLASS ROCKS FOR THE FIRE PIT THEY GIVE THE FIRE TABLE THAT EXTRA DESIGN ELEMENT! COULD LIFE GET BETTER - AFTER A DAY OUT ON THE LINKS WE COME HOME TO RELAX, WITH DRINK IN HAND, THE FLICKERING FIRE LIGHT OF OUR FIRE PIT TABLE AND A COZY AMBIANCE.

I purchased this for our back patio. I absolutely love it! We have used it twice already. My daughter and I were able to move it and put it together. I ordered the 34” one. It is bigger than I thought It would be, but I really like it. You can easily move it with 2 people. The size not the weight makes it awkward for one person to move it, but I can move it around my patio by myself if I really want. The bowl is really deep and solid unlike many others which have small openings on the side. I have 4 kids and I wanted to feel comfortable with them gathered around it and not worry about fire on the sides. The stand is nice so it sits up off the ground and doesn’t cause damage to the patio below. The spark guard fits well. I highly recommend this product.
