Cutting a piece of rubber is similar to cutting through lumber not easy. Also, the 12-in. pieces allow for more design options such as right angles and tighter curves/circles. The 12-inch. pieces interlock together easily. No digging is involved simply anchors in the provided anchor nails for long-term stability. Easier to create curves/angles than 4 ft. options. Smaller pieces virtually eliminate the need for cutting. 4 ft. rubber is very difficult to cut to length, 12 in. option works wonders 24 nails are included with the order. No digging involved.

Install instructions are well laid out and easy to follow. Two different install options, one for wood with 4 screws and anchors and one for concrete center rod install. Although hardware isn’t included, the install instructions were sent ahead of arrival in email and I was able to use them to get all required items from our local hardware store. Opted for the single center rod install and they were under 5.00 each. Bought the needed concrete drill bit and the anchoring adhesive and all of these went into my husband’s Christmas stocking which made for a few laughs and puzzled looks as he’s trying to figure out what he needed it for!Once assembled, holes marked and then drilled in concrete, used our air compressor to blow out extra concrete dust in the holes. We then dry fit everything, adjusting screws as needed to ensure the bottom plate sat flush to ground. Used the anchoring adhesive in the hole and did the final set, tightened hex nuts and put the decorative shoes over the plates. It hen beautiful sturdy results once adhesive cured.. Diane. These are so cute! They were very easy to assemble (just attach the feet), they're very easy to expand and contract, and I think they just look lovely against the green backdrop of the house and garden.
