Best Office Storage Cabinets With Reviews

It took my husband 90 minutes to assemble the cabinet and he found the instructions to be very good indeed. The drawers hold all the things I need and it looks great under my new Andante Writing Desk. I am so glad I bought them together and that they both arrived in perfect condition, as I was worried when I read some of the reviews. The delivery man did say that he sees a lot of damaged goods from Wayfair, so I was very lucky. Wayfair should really take care how they ship their furniture, as it is all so very nice! Lorraine

I like this cabinet...but it is not as deep as I thought. It fits in the space I needed it for, but was expecting something a little taller, and deeper. I am sure I am the problem with measuring, but for this cost, I wouldn't have bought it knowing what I know now. There are spaces that are hard to even put things in. I love the fold down table, and the chalkboard front. Just wish it was about 1-2 inches deeper, because that is my biggest problem with it, and wish it was at least 6 inches taller, but the height does not bother me at all.

I love my new (bedroom) cabinet. The top two shelves hold clothes and the bottom two are reserved for income tax papers and other docs such as legal, medical/dental as well as extra backpacks and sentimental things that need to be sorted through. It has just the right amount of space for my needs and fits right into my bedroom which features both antique and vintage-looking furniture. I looked for months to replace the rather unsightly shiny black metal knobs (what were they thinking!?) that came with this cabinet. Nothing seemed to be right until I ran across these perfect little wooden cabinet knobs at Canadian Tire. I rubbed them with some cutting board oil to enrich the colour and bring out the grain. I'm so happy with the results! They should sell this cabinet with similar wooden knobs that match the wooden top - it just makes sense, and looks SO much better :) This is the type of knobs that should have been on it in the first place; to augment the wooden top. I have a bad back and my son put this together pretty much all by himself. He did a great job.

The order arrived quickly and looked like it was dropped a couple times based on the appearance of the box. After I opened the box, I was surprised to see that it was very well packed and there was no damage to any of the pieces. I could tell quickly that the materials were lower end and flimsy. When put together, it sturdied up quite a bit. However the doors are still very flimsy. For what we paid for it, I wouldn’t expect anything better. We are using it in our laundry room to store brooms, mops and taller things on the right side and shelves for storage on the left. So this is a perfect unit for what we need. I will be cutting my baseboard and screwing it to the wall to give it a built in look. The only other negative is the white stickers they give you to put over the holes. Since I’m installing it as a built in, someone can clearly see that it was cheaply made. What I plan to do to counteract the “cheap look” and fill the visible screw holes with a wood filler and touch it up with white paint to hide the holes better. I would conclude by saying, we got what we paid for. I didn’t have high expectations as we have bought custom cabinets before. The panel look is nice and upon looking at the unit, it fits right in with our white custom cabinets in our laundry room. It tricks your eye into believing its nicer than it actually is. Not sure how well it will hold up over time, but it is a sturdy unit and I would give it high marks for value. When assembling the unit, get yourself a crank screwdriver and stay away from the impact drill. If you overpower the screws it will strip and you will have a tough time putting anything else in that same hole when the particle board breaks. Finesse is the key and you can feel it with the ratchet screwdriver when it’s tight enough.

Absolutely beautiful credenza. The brown sugar wood grain is lovely and looks very professional in our office. The pair of red accent lamps we purchased from Wayfair compliment it perfectly. We brought in a handyman to put it together and he said that the directions were clear and we received a back up of each part. He had it together in about 2 hours, but felt that it was a much easier process than using IKEA. He also said the quality was a step above IKEA. We receive many compliments on it and the fact that the doors lock allow us to store our electronic items here. Highly recommend!

We bought this to store our microwave in our kitchen. It is great for that and the drawer on top pull out desk is a nice bonus that we use as a charging station. That said, I wouldn’t describe it is a solid piece. I’ve had a lot of furniture assembly experience and this one was definitely on the longermore complicated end. The hinges for the drawer front are no longer aligned after a few months of use. The color is a little greywashed out wood color, not as rich as the photos which is what we were hoping for. It works for what we needed but the price is in line with the quality.

Honest review!! I almost did not buy this item due to the reviews but si glad I did. For starters the box was very heavy but not big. There was a lot more pieces to this than expected but all had clear labels on them including the screens and inserts. The instructions are easy to follow if you look at the pictures and double check they the piece looks like the picture. I did screw a few pieces wrong here and there but went back and fixed them. The screws on the side would sometimes crack the wood a little when going in so get as close to the middle of the sides as possible. Some of the drawers were uneven once done but was easily fixable. I am a 24 year old woman and put this together by myself, all it took was 2 hours and one mistake (a drawer is upside down showing the wood and not white but no big deal). Very nice size storage and fits perfectly under the desk.

I usually don't leave reviews, but since this product had a low amount of stars, I figure i'd review. Seems like a great pressed wood cabinet. Easy to assemble. Mine came with some slight damage to the box, but it was packaged really well, so the item itself was not damaged. I assembled it on my own in under an hour. I thought the instructions were super clear. Each piece and each bag of hardware was clearly labelled and each step clearly stated which items were needed for each step. For areas that weren't super easy to see from the drawing, there were close up pictures to help explain the right way it should be assembled. I've only had it together for a bit so I can't attest to how well it will hold up in the long run. My only complaint was that I was hoping my kids' chromebook would fit in the drawer, but it doesn't, and I if i'd have read specifications more closely, I would've realized that. Their computer does fit on the shelf and in the bottom cabinet area, so it's still a win! I'll be using this to store my kid's electronics items.

This is an attractive cabinet but it isn't perfect. My husband put most of it together by himself except for the back and the doors. As other reviewers have stated, the back did not line up perfectly. So, we handled that by lining up the top and sides and allowing the bottom to hang lower than the frame a bit because that will not be seen. Again, as others have stated, the doors were a challenge and they did not line up. However, the manual tells you how to adjust the screw hinges to move the doors either vertically or horizontally to line them up better. With two people, it was still somewhat difficult to do, but my husband knew what he was doing. I held the door and he moved the screws to adjust the doors, which needed attention in both directions. After a few adjustments, the doors were better, but not perfect. I don't know if, had we persevered, the doors would have lined up a lot better, but we were satisfied that they closed without rubbing the frame or each other. You can see that they are not perfectly lined up if you look at the handles....one is slightly higher than the other. Again, I can live with that. The completed cabinet looks pretty and I've already stopped noticing the imperfections I mentioned. I would highly recommend that you anchor the cabinet to the wall because it isn't the sturdiest cabinet. But after my husband anchored it with the included hardware, it doesn't budge and therefore very safe to fill up with stuff. Overall, I'm very pleased with our purchase based on cost, utility and appearance.

Wasn't certain about buying office furniture made of manufactured wood (particle board), but I was outfitting an office in a C-store and didn't want to spend a fortune. This piece was exactly what I need. I purchased and assembled two of these bad boys. The assembly wasn't difficult. I assembled three desks, a desk return, and two of these storage cabinets in four hours. I like that this cabinet locks, and it does have a shelf, which isn't mentioned in the description. It is heavy, fully functional, perfect size, and has that 'right' office look. It's just too bad that after I purchased $2,500 in office furniture from WayFair, at full price, it then goes on sale at close out for 1/3 of the price I paid for it.

Love this cabinet! Bought 2 and put one on top of the other the length and depth is perfect! Lots of pieces but it you just follow the instructional pictures you can not go wrong very simple and as far as the other reviews saying the doors are uneven all you really need to do is play around with the 2 area screw type mechanisms on each hinge and you will get it and LOOK at the hinge u can adjust the leveling by loosening the screw and sliding it one way or the other.... so happy with this inexpensive piece!

So I' love this cabinet - the sizing is pretty perfect for me, not too small and not too large. The only thing I realy question and am uneasy about is the quality. When I put mine together I actually added wood glue to all joints and areas where unfinished wood contacts something for assembly. Using it for kitchen counter top appliance storage, it's got some weight stored inside, and I'm not real sure about how sturdy this would be for a family, as I live alone. I've had mine for well over a year, now, andI highly suggest this nice product, but, if you have children at home, you might consider adding some additional cross bracing of some kind to make it more sturdy while assembling. That would be perfect. I wasn't too thrilled with its price - I thought it was over priced but all others are about the same, if not more.

Perfect for the space (I miss read the dimensions so it’s shorter than I planned - no fault of the item or company) so I simply ordered some legs to raise the unit to a height that suits my office layout. Quality is much better than others I’ve come across and I appreciated that the back was the same material as the balance of the unit and not a flex board that had to be fastened with a million tiny nails looks professional and sturdy!

These are absolutely perfect for our playroom with a 6 year old. Strongly recommend adding glue to all pieces for reinforcement. The back of course is just cardboard screwed in but for less than 200 cant expect much else. Purchased 3 and plan to attach them to one another as well as add some slats in front to make it look like one built in. Each piece took 30 mins to assemble and directions were excellent. Please note that at this price point I would give it 5 stars, howver compared to solid wood pieces at 750 certainly isnt going to compare.

I do think the price is too high for the quality of the item however there were not many options that suited my needs. The item is very very wobbly from side to side. I have ordered for wobble wedges to see if that helps but I may need to reinforce it with additional hardware. It came with a few damaged pieces but Wayfair was amazing at making sure I got replacements, didn't have to bother with sending the damaged pieces back and followed up to sure I had not further issues afterwards. Excellent service. There is a lot of time needed to put this together but it also allows for customization of the different storage locations to make it what you need it to be. Overall, very pleased with purchase.

Absolutely love this cabinet! It looks so much better in person. It looks like real aged beechwood. Sauder makes quality products that go together easily. However, it did take two people almost 4 hours to put this together and that was using an electric screwdriver/drill screwdriver. Don't even attempt to do it all with a handheld regular screwdriver or you'll be there all day. *This cabinet is very sturdy. The only thing I don't like about it is the back which is just basically a piece of cardboard that is laminated. I know this is very common but a thin piece of actual plywood would be more structurally sound. The only other suggestion I have would be to the manufacturer regarding how they package all the little screws and parts: they label each little pocket with the part number which is great, but it is not printed clearly enough or dark enough so it could be better.

This is a nice accent cabinet for my livingroom. I wanted something to store crafts and games in and this piece serves the purpose and looks nice in the room. It was a bit challenging to put together but finally was completed after about 4 hours. The directions are good but one must pay close attention so all directions so all the parts fit in the correct places. The finished product was what I had hoped for except the back of the cabinet is a flimsy man made product. It is fine for now. I may buy a solid board later and reinforce the back cabinet with it. Just be careful to not let your large dog jump onto it while it is face down being constructed or it will break. Overall the color and look is what I had paid for so I'm happy with the final piece. The delivery was reasonable too. I'll be ordering more from this company. Most of our new furniture/assessors are from it.
