Best Pendant Lighting With Reviews

We have been shopping almost daily for pendant lights to go over the kitchen island of our new condo for over a month. However, we couldn’t find anything that worked for us under 150 per fixture on line or in lighting stores. We ordered two of these pendant lights in the grey marbleized colour with our fingers tightly crossed. They were installed today and I am not exaggerating when I say that they are absolutely PERFECT and so much more than we expected at this price. They are the finishing touch we were hoping for. And they arrived right on time and extremely well packaged. A full 5 Star item. Thank you Wayfair once again.

I saw an extremely close version of this chandelier in a specialty shop. The retail price quoted was $1416.00, which is out of my budget. Then I saw this chandelier and thought, "it looks real similar to the high end piece, but do I want to risk that the knockoff is of aweful quality." Well, I went for the risky choice and placed my order. The item arrived in a not so great looking box, and sceptisism was rising that I would be pleased with the product. Out of the box, I saw that the metal was relatively thin, with very sharpe edges, so please be careful about that. Also, the wires weren't color coded, but my husband figured it out. After mounting the chandelier frame, the crystal pieces had to hand mounted. The crystals were all individually wrapped and well packed with no damage at all to the crystals, so I didn't mind having to handle each one, but gave me an appreciation of the quality of the product. These are real crystal and very heavy, a touch of glamour at a price I can afford. It's a go-go-go on this product. The results are beautiful! Another childhood dream come true!

We wanted something mid-century looking and this fit the bill. The cork around the drum gives it a more rustic feel and at night, with the lights turned low, it glows. It's too bad the manufacturer couldn't have installed one continuous piece of cork around it so there would only be one seam. We installed a dimmer switch so we can control the brightness. Installation took a while because of needing to put all the rods together, feeding the long wires through it and you need two people to attach it to the ceiling. The diffuser is glass and it needs one person to hold it while the other screws in the retaining washer & finial. My only issue is the drum is not perfectly round so the diffuser doesn't fit evenly on the bottom. There are four small metal pieces that the diffuser is supposed to rest against but on one side the diffuser is pressed against the drum shade and on the opposite side there is a 1/4" gap and the glass barely touches the little metal piece in the shade. We didn't know the drum was slightly out of round until installing the diffuser and by this point it would have been a pain to uninstall the entire fixture & attempt to round it out better. All in all it is a very nice pendant and we love the look.

I have been looking for this light for a very long time! I needed something that matched my decor and that would be light and airy for my small galley kitchen. It is a bit bigger than many other similar lights which would have disappeared in the room. This one is perfect! My husband and I had no trouble hanging this. I was a bit afraid of the large globe, but it seems to be fairly thick glass and the three screws with the silicone bumpers hold it very securely. Now I just have to find the perfect lightbulb to illuminate my space. We also hung this Nadine light at the top of our stair landing. It leaves an interesting pattern on the ceiling while providing ample illumination for the stairway. I am very, very happy with this purchase! It is an update that stays true to my home’s style.

I am such a fan of this pendant light. We got it because it matches the island lighting that we got for our dining room. its really lightweight, but feels extremely sturdy and was very simple to install. The adjustable length made it perfect for us to make sure that we were able to fit it above the door. The light we pick to put in it is easy to find and readily available in many places now. I love that it fits right in with our modern farmhouse style and know that Im going to be happy with this choice for quite some time!

These lights are great and a great price. However, we had a small issue: we ordered 4 of the same light bulbs. For some reason, 1 of the lights was different - the glass globe part would not fit a standard light bulb (this is why there is one missing in the first photo). Wayfair was quick to send another one, but we had one fixture without a globe on it for about a week. The instructions are fairly clear, especially if you've ever installed a light fixture before. I would recommend using more heavy-duty wire nuts than the ones provided, simply because you'll have to shove the wire back up in the fixture to make sure they are all level. I did (purposely) cut the wire fairly easily to shorten the amount of wire hanging from the ceiling. With have color Philips Hue lights in the fixtures and they look really cool when you change them colors. They fit perfectly - not too big for the fixture. Overall, a great product - I'd recommend making sure your light bulbs fit before start to hang the lights!

The light is pretty good! We hung this in an unconventional place because the existing wire location was in the ceiling, and the house is very old. We didn't feel like opening up the walls and decided this was easier. My only "con" is that the 3 light globes have short 6" brass tubes that cover the black cord-covered wire. These have threads to connect to the globe part, but the top of the brass tube is unthreaded, and therefore looks a tad sloppy to me. For most people, I'm guessing the black cord shows and is considered a design detail. But for us, we were trying to HIDE the black cord completely, and the top of the tubes all look slightly crooked where they meet the light box. Overall though, it appears to be good quality. Took us about an hour to hang, and definitely needed 2 people.

Overall, I'm happy with these lights. Everything came undamaged and appears as I expected it to from the stock photos. I agree with some of the other commenters that 1.) adjusting the cord length is not simple/easy and 2.) I'm not confident the plastic set screws for the cords will last. If they do fail, I'll find metal replacements and use those. Our original wiring box was offset from the center of this fixture by 25" due to a previous project where we doubled the original length of our island. Rather than attempt to move the wiring box and deal with drywall patching, I first created and installed a 12" x 60" board with routered bezels, etc. to cover the original wiring box. The ceiling side of the board has cutouts and channels to guide a wiring extension from the original wiring box to the center of the board directly over the center of the island. Since that board is secured to ceiling joists, I did not have any issues with securing the mounting bracket as it is easy to simply screw into the board. I used WAGO 221 LEVER-NUTS (Google them) instead of traditional wire nuts to complete the wire connections. We installed Philips Hue light bulbs in our fixture to create different lighting moods. We're very happy with the final result.

Beautiful!!! Haven’t installed yet, but just looking at them in the box, I am thinking they will look perfect over the bar counter. The larger size is spot on for installing 2. And so happy everything arrived in tact and no broken glass. UPDATE - After finally getting a chance to inspect the glass globes further (I am in the middle of a Reno & these sat in boxes for a bit) and remove the covering, I found that one was chipped and the other had bubbling and scratches that just made it look really bad. Wayfair said they are sending replacements for the glass globes. I really hope that they are in good shape because I really like the look of these pendants. The glass is pretty thin though, especially compared to the matching Snead 1 - Light, Semi-Flush Mount that I bought to go in a hallway. That glass globe was nice and thick on that one and I don't get why these are not the same quality. Will update once I receive the replacements and once installed.

These are a must-have for me! This is my everyday makeup remover. I’ve tried several brands of makeup wipes and stopped looking once I tried these, and that was years ago! These wipes are much more moisturizing and stay more moist than other makeup removing wipes. I’ve repurchased them for years and just love how well they work! One wipe can easily clean away a full face of makeup. The smell is very refreshing, and the wipes are a very convenient alternative to washing makeup off with soaps/cleansers! I love that if I’m too tired to take off my makeup when I’m already in bed I can just use a handheld mirror and use these! I do it so often I actually keep a pack in my bedside table! These Ravenna pendant lights are just what my Kitchen Island needed to give the whole area a bit of an update. The transitional shape of the seeded glass lends a design that can go from rustic to contemporary. The glass is a nice thickness and weight, and the fixture's components are well made and finished. I ordered 3 of these to replace smaller pendant lights that were over an Island. One of them arrived with the globe in a millions pieces, but Wayfair's Customer Service shipped out a replacement the same day, and it arrived quickly. Thank you for offering a beautiful product at a great price, and for the stellar Customer Service.

I really like this light! It is very bright with 8 bulbs. It exceeded my expectations and fits the theme of my dining room exactly! I’m pleased with it. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is just because it was a little difficult to install. It took my husband and I both climbing the ladder and holding the light so it could be wired. The directions are basically just a picture. It took us a little bit to figure out that we only strung the wires up one side and would need to decide how longhow many links of the chain we needed to cut off to achieve the right height above our table. It would’ve been nice to be able to attach the top piece to the electrical wires and have the weight supported by the ceiling, but instead it’s all one piece so you have to hold the entire light up while connecting it and if you need to change the length of the chain you have to bring the entire light down and cut the links, then restring them.

This glass dome pendant arrived well packaged and without a scratch. Unfortunately a mishap in the production of the glass must have happened. There was a small black bubble followed by a black filament inside the glass. Otherwise I really like this pendant. It was also about 2 inches too long for it to be placed where I wished, as a flush-mount in our entrance. Our door would have banged into it. Will keep it and use probably as a semi-flush-mount in our bedroom where only us will notice the production defect. Wayfair have a few options for you when incidents happen such as this or with the delivery. Have told them and asked for a discount instead of returning it. When they see the picture am sure they will agree.

Taya Saves the Day! I ordered 3 of these for my kitchen island and was so excited because I've had my eye on them for two years! They came and are even more beautiful in person! The only problem is that all 3 were missing the socket and socket ring. Kind of difficult to hang without those! I called Wayfair right away and this is when I spoke with Taya! Taya has saved the day - and my dream! 3 more pendants have already been ordered and are expected to arrive in just 3 days! Wayfair, please know what a FABULOUS representative you have in Taya! Was an absolute breeze to order them from Wayfair. We ordered 3 of them for our kitchen in our vacation rental. They looked nice online and were at a great price. Received them all in very short order. All parts were there and nothing, including the glass globes, were broken or damaged. We have a sloped ceiling over the kitchen counter so I had some concerns if they would work as well on a sloped ceiling as on a flat ceiling. Did not need to worry. They fit the sloped ceiling perfectly! Had an electrician install them so can not speak to the installation process but they were installed quite quickly and seemingly without any problem. These pendant lights look beautiful hanging in our kitchen! They look fabulous, hang straight (no problem at all with the cord not hanging straight). The dimmable feature of the fixture was important to us because we can have it as bright as we need but also dimmable to create a warmer, cozier ambiance if desired.

This is a great looking Pendant light. The oil rubbed finish was well done and goes well with the black Chandelier over our dining table. This was the first time I ever installed pendant lights and it was an easy task to replace the boring pendants that were installed by the builder. I found it easiest to first uninstall the existing pendant lights. I then assembled the pendant completely, then attached them to the junction box in the ceiling. Once you have decided on which tubes to use for the desired height, put them together to get a rough idea on how much wire length you will actually need, remember to leave enough excess to make your electrical connections. I found it easier to cut some of the excess wire away to make threading into the tubes less cumbersome. Threading the cables through the tubes individually worked the best and then screwing them together after the cable was threaded. The standard Edison bulbs were a bit too large and extended about 1/4 inch below the rim of the bell dome. So, we used Vintage Edison Mini Tube Clear Glass bulbs. Depending on the size of the room and the number of pendants you may want to either use 25W or 40W equivalent bulbs or put in a dimmer switch.

The Chandelier is beautiful and puts off a lot of light. We just didn't think it through for our space in the fact that the light bulbs point upwards. We had this put in with our recent remodel. We were over budget and needed to be smart with our money. The fixture is great and after a year, is still growing strong. But we put it up in our entry way which is 26 feet high. We have no ladder that reaches it and as it is in the middle of a large opening, there is no wall to lean an extension ladder against and reach the fixture. Our last fixture had downward facing bulbs and we used a pole device to unscrew and screw in new bulbs. This one, we can't do. We prefer the look of this one and, as I said, the Chandelier is beautiful. So if you are buying for an opening foyer where there are no close walls and it is a minimum of 20 foot high to reach it... this may not be the fixture for you.
