This is a beautifully sleek and modern pendant lamp that gives a minimal look but has a MAXIMUM level of light. It has built-in LED lamps that I was worried would not be bright enough to be able to read while sitting at the dining table, but this is really quite bright and I use the rheostat dimmer to tone down the brightness for the appropriate need. I have been looking for a modern, sleek lamp with ample lighting for several years, and this one meets all of my needs and expectations. Note: The tubes that hold the lamp from the ceiling can be tweaked into position to be in a 90-degree angle, so don't be alarmed if they look crooked, they are adjustable. The price and shipping was also reasonable and delivered in a timely manner.

The pendants look great above my dining room table. They reflect the images online exactly and were easy to install. I am curious about how difficult it will be to remove the glass pendants to replace the bulbs when that time comes. Though it was not too bright, I did install a dimmer switch to be able to set various moods. The edges of the mounting fixture were not smooth as noted in other reviews, but did not cause any problems. There are some screws exposed in the mounting fixture, but I am not bothered because they are so high and close the ceiling (9ft) that I will never look at them. The arrived packaged very well and I used to the bubble wrap that the pendants were stored in to install until I was ready to turn the lights on so they would not bag against each other. It did have to use my wifes support to hold the fixture while I hooked up the wires. My biggest future concern in the ability to keep the glass pendants consistently. I looked for several days and read many review before purchasing these lights. If you are in doubt, I would highly recommend purchasing these. Make sure you measure you hanging length correctly.

We love this fixture over our dining table! It’s large, but doesn’t take over the space, and provides the perfect amount of lighting for our oversized table. The only reason it was not a 5 star product was because one of the middle metal shades/connectors is slightly bent. It’s something you would notice when looking closely, but I’m afraid if I try to bend it back, the brittle metal will snap; instead of being slightly bent, I’d have one that was broken. Otherwise, value and style would have put it at a 5.

I've never been one to want a chandelier but when I saw this I thought it would add a classy sparkle to our newly remodeled kitchen. I'm so glad I purchased it! It is absolutely stunning! The light is very clean, white and bright and really lights up the room. I do have to say the the instructions for the installation are lacking. I had no idea where to start in putting the crystals in. I counted the holes and the crystals and went online and blew up the picture as much as I could. I recommend you start at the very bottom layer (there are 4 layers). Install the large oval crystals there. The two middle layers are a mix of the long and oval crystals. You'll put stagger them oval, long, oval, long etc. The top you go back to the large oval crystals. They do break if you drop one, because of course I did, but I had 3 extra ones left over. I'm in love with this beautiful light fixture and couldn't be happier that I went ahead and bought it.

WOW! Love it! This Sputnik lamp is stunning even when off. Looked for a few years for one with no luck. I was very picky with size & price. Most on eBay were way to huge or not enough info. The 2 big box stores were way to expensive. And the specialty lighting stores.. um, okay if you want to spend $500. This one took more than two years to find.. and what a find. Size: 19.5 inch diameter all the way around when rods are in. Height: 2-12 inch & 2 6 inch down rods included. I used one 12 & one 6.. plus you get a little extra with the already mounted tilt attachment at the mounting plate. Yes, it can tilt to work with sloped ceilings. Assembly: Simple. NO WIRING like most others. I fully expected to spend 2 days wiring it. Its all done inside the ball. There are 80 decretive rods which have screw threads for attaching to the ball. Mine had 82 rods in the box. Not sure if that was error or on purpose. Used Edison style LED's for an even better look. Sold at Dollar General, so I only spent $4 for 8 bulbs. Description of lamp says NOT dimmable. Wrong. All lamps ARE dimmable if proper dimmer is used. So don't let that description shy you away. If my lamp looks a a bit different, it is. I didn't want (all) chrome, so I took 30 of the 80 rods and sprayed them with a high quality Rust-Oleum BRIGHT reflective gold for a pop of color within all the polished chrome. Turned out fantastic. The cheepy light bulbs did cause a little flickering with my 1980's standard dimmer, so I upgraded that too. A good dimmer was about $22, but the best was $29 and loaded with features. Lutron C L Maestro, model MACL-153MH-LA. No flickering even at the lowest dim. And has a very cool feature which turns the light on with a fade on, than fades off. Its also 3 way compatible an custom programmable. The LED's on the side help you find the switch in the dark, an indicate dimming level being used. I wish I could put a video on here so you could see the fade off. Truly awesome! The last pic of the lamp is at lowest dim in a dark room. Check it out. Lamp + bulbs + dimmer + spray paint was $154.49! There is nothing about this lamp I dislike! Highly recommend if you've been looking for one. Last note: Wayfair costumer service was FANTASTIC when I called with an inquiry about this light. The girl even placed the order for me. Great service and GREAT price!

This pendant light is a unique piece that works well in various places throughout the house. It was difficult to tell from the description online, but the length of cord can be adjusted so the lights hang quite close to the ceiling, or far below it. This makes it versatile for many ceiling heights. While it is described as a kitchen island pendant, I chose to hang it over a bar in a home theater area. It would also look excellent over a pool table in a game room. I was very close to rating this five stars, there was only one aspect I was disappointed with-the underside of each shade (where the lightbulb would be) is bright white. I ordered the tarnished silver light and the bright white stood out in stark contrast, it did not look right. Perhaps if I had hung this over a kitchen island, the brightness would have fit in, but otherwise it took away from the overall classy look. I solved the situation as best I could by taking only the shades outside and spray painting over the white with a gunmetal gray. In my opinion, it blends better and compliments the rest of the light. The best case scenario would have been if the underside of the shades were tarnished silver as well. I also used ‘old fashioned’ Edison bulbs to complete the look and I’m very happy with this light now.

Love the light. Shipping was unbelievabably fast. It is more of a weathered look as others have said, but I'm okay with that. I was worried that it would be too big for my 60inch table, but I'm thrilled that it works. My only complaint is that the quality isn't as great as I was expecting. The light bulbs don't screw in straight to the sockets, and the light doesn't hang straight. We switched the rods out trying to straighten the light up, but determined it was the screw on the fixture that was crooked. We also tried to bend it a little to compensate, but didn't want to break it. Overall very unique fixture.

I saw an extremely close version of this chandelier in a specialty shop. The retail price quoted was $1416.00, which is out of my budget. Then I saw this chandelier and thought, "it looks real similar to the high end piece, but do I want to risk that the knockoff is of aweful quality." Well, I went for the risky choice and placed my order. The item arrived in a not so great looking box, and sceptisism was rising that I would be pleased with the product. Out of the box, I saw that the metal was relatively thin, with very sharpe edges, so please be careful about that. Also, the wires weren't color coded, but my husband figured it out. After mounting the chandelier frame, the crystal pieces had to hand mounted. The crystals were all individually wrapped and well packed with no damage at all to the crystals, so I didn't mind having to handle each one, but gave me an appreciation of the quality of the product. These are real crystal and very heavy, a touch of glamour at a price I can afford. It's a go-go-go on this product. The results are beautiful! Another childhood dream come true!

I bought 3 pendants which I thought by the picture were linked as pictured. However they were 3 separate lights. I checked our local lighting company, the Blue and Orange DIY store, but could not find a way to make a single pendant light for my office. I finally bought the Baxter 3-light Cluster Globe Pendant, and used the parts. I saved the globes because they are beautiful. Now that I know how to make the light I use it somewhere in my house. The Baxter 3-light cluster globe pendant is beautiful and impressive. I ALMOST used it INSTEAD of the tri-colored pendant.

This looks good in our kitchen. It is a PAIN to install and change bulbs, though. And it is definitely much bigger than it seems from the photo. Yes, I know the measurements are in the specs and I read them, but I just imagined something different. We put LED bulbs in it and it gives off a nice, cool, white light. Seriously, though. The covers are nearly impossible to reattach after you put the bulbs in. It took both my husband and I standing on our kitchen island with some choice words to get them reattached. It's a design flaw. Hopefully the LED bulbs won't go out in my lifetime, though!

I'm looking at the pendant right now! I love it! I haven't had it up very long so we haven't used it much. My old fixture was 10-15 years old so it was looking a bit dated. I had been searching other sites for the perfect light and comparing prices. Wayfair had the best price. The assembly was pretty easy to do. The minimum height is about 22" and I only needed it to hang about 18". My husband is quite clever so he as able to make it work. I do have one suggestion. The light bulbs aren't included so just for convenience it would be real helpful if there was a link to get to the bulbs used in the picture. I did look at the bulbs on your site but there are so many to choose from that it is overwhelming.

These look great. An electrician installed for me. The lengths are indeed adjustable. The bulbs are very nearly straight but they do lean slightly and electrician could not straighten them. It seems to be because of the angle they end up on after being screwed in ie the threading. My main complaint is that the shape of the glass shade is DIFFERENT from the photo on Wayfair. I bought these because they match shape of another fixture I bought for the bathroom down the hall. I believe I should get the actual fixture pictured. I will just accept the different ones I got.

We are really pleased with this light fixture! It was the perfect addition to our mid mod house's dining room. The other reviews really had me nervous about how tricky the install would be; I had never hung a light fixture before. I had a friend come over to assist and it went so smoothly. The globes cast so much light that it really did transform the space once it was installed. Some tricks about getting the pendants level: We installed the mounting bracket to the j-box first, and then screwed the canopy plate on to do a test fit of the pendant height. From there we held the cord up to the canopy plate where we wanted the globe to hang and marked the cord with painters tape. We did the same thing for the globes that sit higher, and instead of trying to eyeball the rest of the globes, we let them hang down and I used a level to mark the rest. From there, we took the fixture down, pulled the slack for each cable up into the canopy and zip tied the slack into loops. We taped and tucked the slack into the housing, made the electrical connection, and screwed the base in. No cutting and splicing required! All in all it took us maybe an hour and that was with both of us figuring it out as we went. We couldn't be happier with the fixture.

The light is pretty good! We hung this in an unconventional place because the existing wire location was in the ceiling, and the house is very old. We didn't feel like opening up the walls and decided this was easier. My only "con" is that the 3 light globes have short 6" brass tubes that cover the black cord-covered wire. These have threads to connect to the globe part, but the top of the brass tube is unthreaded, and therefore looks a tad sloppy to me. For most people, I'm guessing the black cord shows and is considered a design detail. But for us, we were trying to HIDE the black cord completely, and the top of the tubes all look slightly crooked where they meet the light box. Overall though, it appears to be good quality. Took us about an hour to hang, and definitely needed 2 people.

I really like this light! It is very bright with 8 bulbs. It exceeded my expectations and fits the theme of my dining room exactly! I’m pleased with it. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is just because it was a little difficult to install. It took my husband and I both climbing the ladder and holding the light so it could be wired. The directions are basically just a picture. It took us a little bit to figure out that we only strung the wires up one side and would need to decide how longhow many links of the chain we needed to cut off to achieve the right height above our table. It would’ve been nice to be able to attach the top piece to the electrical wires and have the weight supported by the ceiling, but instead it’s all one piece so you have to hold the entire light up while connecting it and if you need to change the length of the chain you have to bring the entire light down and cut the links, then restring them.

The pendant light looks great but does take time to assemble. We assembled the light the night before to alleviate the stress of assembling and installing at the same time. We discovered that there wasn't enough of the screw in pipe to thread the wires though to place the light at an acceptable height from the ceiling to above the table. We ended up making a run to Menard's in the morning and found a pipe that we used after spraying it to match the rest of the light. We did contact Wayfair and they were glad to send additional pipe but since we had an electrician coming that morning we opted to fix it ourselves with the part from Menard's.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been searching for several months to find a light fixture for my newly built home.Although it had lots of light, due to many pot lights ,it need a fixture to warm it up and make it feel  less cold and modern...This Designers Fountain Knoll Brushed Gold Modern /Contemporary Fixture was the answer. It appears well made of quality materials and should last a long time. It has a modern feel but still feels classic. .It's four clear globes which gives a lot of light   from the  60 watt bulbs (not included} Does need to be hard wired but an easy. basic install.. I  am very happy with the new look and feel of my dinning room.  Recommend this brand to  to family and friends.

The right blend of modern and rustic we were looking for, interesting but not too weird or over the top. We love it! The bulbs that come with it emit very little light and get really hot in a short amount of time so we put in different ones which is easy to do. Because we were installing the fixture parallel to the slope of our ceiling, we did have to cut and bend one of the loops to make the fixture level. I dont view this as a defect of the product though and this would not be required for flat ceilings or if hanging the fixture perpendicular to the slope of a ceiling. The light is beautiful! It really brings a look and feel of elegance to a space. But…… Installation in a tight space is abysmal. I used this light over a kitchen sink where I wanted a three lightbulb fixture to bridge the wide gap from cabinet to cabinet over the sink. So I had to pull the lights up high, so they're barely off the ceiling which is really not the intent of how this light should be used. It's very hard to get to the back of the canopy get the screw in that holds the canopy up in place unless it's in an open room where you can move freely around the light. So keep that in mind. Also, if you need to shorten the electric wires to pull The pendant shades up, the canopy does not offer enough space to wind that extra wire up in to. I had to cut the extra wire and splice the connections together. Also be very careful when screwing the lightbulbs up into the socket because it is easy to scratch the frosted glass with your hand if you have a ring on. I found out the hard way. All in all, I love the light, if you are very patient and can tolerate a very complicated install process. If you're buying it just for the long hanging pendant light use you would have no problem at all. And it really is beautiful. I used 3, 40 (2700) Watt LED warm white lightbulbs. With a dimmer switch and it's perfect.
