I love how it transformed my dining room from basic and boring into classy and beautiful. The chandelier is detailed and well made so it doesn't look cheap. The 5 smaller lights do a fantastic job of lighting my dining room and we even use a dimmer to create the ambiance we want. I also like that the electric wire is hidden in a pole instead of visible next to a chain . I love the larger size over my large table. I get so many compliments on it from friends and family. It was also really straightforward to install following the directions. My husband has installed quite a few light fixtures and ceiling fans in our home and found it very easy. The chandelier came with everything needed in the box. It was also easy to shorten the hanging length to the extract height we like. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Melis 5 Light Chandelier Black was shipped in a very well packed container box. Everything came protected in individual tear-away plastic covers and inside1 piece form fitting Styrofoam block. The construction of metal parts used was made of heavy materials. Nice options for hanging drop height was provided with 3 separate sections of tubing with 1 section done in 2 parts (can be separated) for providing half length option. Center thick leg portion was very heavy and felt like it was made of solid bronze. Section holding 5 lamp tubes was already assembled and just needed to be spread apart for final 5 star patterns. Everything went together with precision and nothing was cheap or loose in the end. Glass globes are very thick and heavy clear glass. Interesting part was the screw collars with vertical ribs for globes came with a plastic tube for threading them down. This chandelier also had 5 drop collar rings to cover the screw collars so the result is a smooth finish since they’re visible from clear globes. The grounding wire was made of heavily braided copper strands and provides assistance in handing the chandelier temporarily in place for getting black & white power wires attached (1 man job). Love the mat black finish and it looks not too big and overly done (simple clean look). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the beautiful baile, 6 light chandelier. I have installed it in my living room where we were lacking some much needed light and elegance. It took roughly an hour to install. Just a few tools were needed but decal small pieces and the 15 arcs and 30 arc retaining knobs slow down the process. There isn’t a lot of room to work within the circumference of the chandelier as it comes together so patience is needed to complete the process. The brushes nickel finish and end result are totally worth it. I used soft white bulbs which were not included but I am very impressed with the quality and appearance of this product. I absolutely recommend this product. As a member of the Kichler Sampling Program I received this chandelier complimentary for my honest feedback. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chandelier is beautiful and will definitely add elegance and style along with great lighting wherever you choose to hang it. I did not have a single chandelier in my house before this one and have never installed one. Our ceilings are not high anywhere in the house, but this kit gives you the option to hang in both low and high situations. Our dining area had a ceiling fan that was only used for light. I determined it would be perfect for the chandelier... And I was right! I went and picked up some 4 watt dimmable LEDs and a nice dimmer switch before installing. This chandelier is well made and by no means lightweight. If you are a pro and do this type of thing often you may be able to install it solo, but I had to get an extra pair of hands to assist me. It does have a safety hook to help keep it where you need which is something I have never seen but assume it's standard on this type of thing. Assembly out of the box , which is well packed I might add, is a breeze. Hanging and wiring were not any more difficult than a regular light fixture. All in all, once it is hung it will not only bring great lighting in your home or business, but will definitely have people admiring and asking about it. I am very pleased with it!. Jokers75.
