Cubby Wall Mounted Steel Mailbox

We love the design and size of the mailbox and numbers, however the numbers are just attached by magnets which makes it possible for them to move when the mail carrier puts mail in it or when cleaning it. Numbers should have been attached permanently.

I recently purchased the Cubby Wall Mounted Steel Mailbox, and I am extremely impressed with its quality. The mailbox is very sturdy and well-made, providing a secure and reliable place for my mail. It’s a well constructed mailbox. I don’t really have a complaint other than the numbers are magnetic. They haven’t moved yet and the magnets are strong but, we will see if it ever becomes an issue.

Gorgeous mailbox, but hard to mount - it will fall off the house with the hardware provided. Needs washers. Also, water runs inside the box when it rains.

First, the positives. The box appears to be well made and is heavy. The design is very cool and the magnet to keep the door shut is pretty strong. Now the negatives. 1. After LONG shipping times, they shipped the wrong colour of numbers to me. I guess I’ll have to wait another month to get new numbers. 2. The anchors, for masonry, are just OK. They work but aren’t great. 3. While the template is OK, there is very little room for error when drilling. Which is not great in masonry since it won’t be perfect. Which is a problem since you cannot adjust it to be level unless it’s PERFECTLY drilled. However, if you go source some metal flat washers that fit the head of the screw and are a quarter or a third of an inch wide, you can now mount it properly. Should’ve come in the box rather than needing to go to the hardware store, but hopefully this tip will help everyone. 4. The magnets for the numbers are very weak. I suspect these will need constant readjustment or will be stolen. I didn’t realize they were magnets. I would’ve preferred a more permanent solution.

Great design and quality. A little heavier than expected but was still able to mount it to a wood panel facade.
