The fabric essentially feels like a shower curtain and the elastic doesn't stay taught. They're for our toddler son so the plastic-y material will (hopefully) work out for the better in case of spills and accidents, but anyone older than 7 will need something that feels more like fabric and less like a painters tarp. Also it only came with one pillow case, even though two were advertised. Once again, he only has one pillow so it doesn't "matter" in the end but it's still shoddy.
