Best Food Pantries With Reviews

Started shopping for a storage pantry with some very specific criteria. I needed a place to store excess kitchen & grocery items that would be small enough to work in my utility room and be an attractive addition. After lots of shopping and comparison, I found this one checked almost every box. I preferred white but this heritage oak finish is quite complementary to my other white finish furniture. It is lightweight but sturdy enough to hold a good amount of paper goods, boxes and a few staples for the kitchen. Assembly only took a couple of hours working alone and I am very pleased with the purchase.

Piece of the wood was damaged but I was still able to put it together and hide the piece of chipped wood. It’s a bit small for the amount of food I had to put in there. Ordered it in December never received it until mid Jan. UPS lost the first one (delivered it to wrong address). I was told they’re going to open an investigation to see which driver delivered the package and where. Still haven’t heard from them. Thankfully Wayfair sent me a replacement and I got that one. I didn’t bother calling or returning it because it was a small damage and I had already spent too much time on the phone with Wayfair and UPS trying to find the first package that was sent out. Other than that it’s a great buy.

I am in love with this pantry! It's even better than I was anticipating. I bought this to replace an existing pantry that I had that was plastic. It was an ugly eye-sore type, but was inexpensive so I was hopeful it could at least do the job. It didn't obviously, with all the shelves bending with any weight added to them. So this time, I wanted sturdy and made of wood. Something nice too look at would just be a bonus. It comes in one large heavy box and many, many pieces. My dad put it together for me over the course of a couple days, but I told him not to rush, so I don't honestly know how long it would take someone working on it non-stop. I do know that he needed my mom's help a couple times to hold things while he worked - so you might want to plan on having a helper to make it easier. He also stated that it was missing one spring for one of the doors, but he had hardware like that in the garage and just improvised and it all works perfectly. The drawer is a little more flimsy than I was expecting, but is strong enough to hold the plastic items I put in there like measuring cups and utensils. Because its separated by a drawer, the top half has a super study place to put all you're heavy items, like canned goods. Then you can add in the adjustable shelves where you want them. Theres tons of spots and moving the pegs for the shelves is super easy. Same with the bottom half. There is so much room and even the adjustable shelves are sturdy. A plesant surprise is the top...there is a nice lip to the edge, so if you end up storing anything up there, it can't slide off. In the end, I was thrilled with this purchase! My only problem was the delivery...at checkout it made me pick a day and time, stating that it was to be delivered inside the door. I had to pick a day i could rearrange my work hours then and asked for it to be delivered 3pm to 7pm...and Id planned on leaving work early. At 11 am that day, my dad called to tell me someone had delivered it cause it was sitting outside. My dad had been in the house and no one even knocked at the door when they left it there. Thankfully it hadn't been raining, but my poor dad then tried to carry it in himself and i had gone to the trouble of changing my work schedule for nothing. Since it turned out okay, its only a mild frustration...but if the weather had destroyed it or something or I lost wages to be there for a delivery that came at least 4 hours before it was supposed to, I would be singing a different tune....especailly since Wayfair made me pick a date and time at time of purchase. Wouldn't stop me from future purchases, but does leave me more nervous about shipping.

Bought this on sale price, which is really about what it’s worth. It’s paper-covered particle board, which is pretty much like at-home-assembly furniture. Don’t get it wet. Using it as an interim coffee station and pressure-cooker storage cabinet it is perfect for this purpose. NOT to be used as a food prep station, it is not durable enough for that. It’s worth it, if you can get it on sale. I don’t feel like it would be a good value at regular price, though. Assembly was very easy, and all pieces lined up perfectly. Update 7 months later- I placed a large sheet of vinyl on the top to prevent water damage from coffee pot and keurig. Cabinet is getting a little wobbly, the doors don’t seem to line up nicely like they did the first few months. Have to close them carefully at the same time to prevent one catching on the other. Still functions as expected. Still 5 stars

I usually don¡¯t write reviews. But when I saw some people complaining about this item, I thought would give my opinion.My purchase arrived three days earlier than expected. I was surprised to see two good sized boxes. One of them had some damage to the end and along one edge. So, I took a careful inventory once I got them into the house. All the parts and hardware were present and undamaged save a couple of minor dinged corners. I would later learn that these dings were on hidden edges or corners after the thing was assembled.I¡¯ve assembled a good number of products over the years and this one was a bit challenging but not the most difficult I¡¯ve worked on. There are lots of parts. Mine were all labeled with a small sticker. Which was nice since other products have had large stickers that were difficult to remove. Start to finish it took about two and a half hours to complete.My advice to anyone considering purchasing one of these is¡­It is not fine furniture. Pay close attention to the diagrams. Take your time. Don¡¯t over tighten any fasteners. Add a spot of glue to the dowels. Aligning the doors is a bit fussy but well worth the time. I worked alone but a helper would have been useful at a couple stages.What could be better¡­Instructions are just a series of diagrams. While everything was clearly labeled some written instructions could be helpful. That¡¯s why I say pay attention. Once you sort out which way around things go it¡¯s simple. The back of the cabinet is a sort of fiber board and is in multiple pieces. Not much of it shows from the front but it seems a bit flimsy. Not a deal breaker though. My kit was a few nails short for attaching the back. I had plenty of small nails on hand so not a big deal. It would be nice to have the option to mount the handles vertically or horizontally. Since holes are pre-drilled you have no choice. Unless you want to re-drill new holes and fill the original. It wasn¡¯t that important, so I didn¡¯t bother.Overall, I¡¯m pleased. Time will tell how well it holds up.

This should not be your first assembly project! This was probably the most complex assembly (based on number of parts and assembly time - 5+ hours) of any furniture that I've assembled (which has been many book cases, desks, and a computer armoire). The good: Everything was well-packed and arrived unbroken. All the parts were present. Instructions were understandable. Most parts fit well together. Finished product looks good and works well. Dimensions are accurate - it fit nicely in the place I had reserved for it. The bad: The fiberboard is low quality - easy to damage. the cam metal is low quality - easy to break. Advice: * Allow plenty of time (5+ hours) and space (a 20'x 20' carpeted area works), and a rest break in the middle. * Take your time! Assembling this will tire you out, and if you are like me your work will get sloppy when you are tired. * Lay everything out in numerical order as you will assemble mostly in that order. * Have extra white wood glue - you will run out using the three small packets provided. * Have a small (#1) bit Phillips head driver with a good grip as well as a standard Phillips head screw driver - you will need to drive many small screws by hand. I don't recommend a powered drive as the wood is low quality and easy to strip. * be careful to not over-tighten the cams - you can easily break the wood surrounding the hole or the cam itself (I did both and hope extra wood glue will hold the problem joint). Depending on how you value your time, it may be worth paying twice as much for a similar item already assembled at a local furniture store.

OK to be honest, I was only cautiously optimistic about this pantry due to past experience with other similar products of dubious quality. Ordered 2 for my main bath renovation. My clever husband assembled them without difficulty or complaint and he is a stickler for details; there are 2 extra screws so don't sweat if you have leftovers. They are exactly as pictured, stable (!) and just right for our needs. They are pretty heavy so I think they'll last a good while even in a humid environment. Update 6 months later: still working fine, no issues with humidity. The top surface, however, is susceptible to scratches and dried saline from my son's contact lens solution leaves marks. Otherwise, great product.

I am giving this product a five star rating not because it's a finely crafted piece of furniture but because it is a very good value for it's intended purpose. 1) product came well packaged with no damage, 2) all parts fit together as designed and finished product is stable and attractive. Assembly comments: remove parts carefully, inspect for damage and identify part #'s compared to included instructions. All parts are clearly marked and can be easily identified. Read included instructions prior to beginning assembly. Be patient, TAKE YOUR TIME, while one person can assemble cabinet I highly recommend two. Don't skip steps but assemble in sequence as illustrated in instructions. Don't leave out small plastic clips that screw into back panels and into cabinet frame, these will help to stabilize the cabinet. I am extremely satisfied with this product and it is very functional. Just don't expect a fine piece of furniture but the finished product looks great and I am happy with the purchase.

As far as RTA furniture goes this one had really good instructions. When the bottom part of the cabinet is constructed I noticed a bit too much wobble so I disassembled the unit and used glue in the dowel holes. Did not continue with the assembly until the glue had a chance to dry for a couple hours. The wobble was gone and the remainder of the assembly went forward. Also use glue in the assembly of the top cabinet dowel locations which IMO makes the entire unit more stable. Don't put anything heavy in the drawer since the bottom is just cardboard and quite weak. I had some 3/16" plywood that was the same thickness as the cardboard bottom which makes the drawer hardier. As with all RTA furniture a bit of going beyond the directions is called for if you want a finished product that will last for years and function as needed. Also used 1" nails for the back panels instead of the supplied fasteners which didn't seem good enough to me. The nails made the panels very secure and will also help with the strength of the entire structure. As far as storage space, it's adequate as an extra pantry which is what we are using it for.

This Item is a Christmas gift for a holiday that has been rescheduled to January due to COVID, therefore I cannot share any photos or actual thoughts on the quality of the product. However, I CAN say that Wayfair has 10 Star Ratings on your Customer Service Reps (who patiently tracked my order as your promised 7 day shipping turned into over a month) AND 10 Star Ratings on the Delivery Driver who couldn't have been more professional, friendly and helpful! You need to reward those people who represent your products. I would strongly recommend that you do not send me emails every single day trying to get me to buy other items. Everytime I saw Wayfair I expected it to be updates on the delayed delivery and this overdose of advertising was extremely aggravating. That being said, I can't wait to see the expression on my son's face when this long awaited gift is finally given and received. Thank you for supplying what seems to be a nice piece of furniture for a good price. I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED!

ok , so i put this bad boy together all by myself with a phillips screwdriver to boot :) The thing i didnt like is that they sat it at the bottom of the stairs on the sidewalk and not on my walkway closer to the front door upon delivery. No damage. Well padded. I had to take it out of the box to get it into the house or wait for help. Guess what i did? I opened it and took it out piece by piece :) Assembly went by the numbers and very simple . Alot of wrist work went into this. If your upper body is not as strong you may need a second person to lift the bottom portion of the assembled cabinet onto the top. I was lucky enough to still be able to lift its heaviness and do this alone, it was the only hard part. I only got one part of the actuall assembly wrong and that was the bottom for door assembly holes were backwards, the pieces are numbered , so watch your placement and where cabinet holes are via the diagram etc. The little stickers to hide the bolts werent sticky so you may need to use a diff type of glue for these. Shes gorgeous and now I have extra space for storage needs without the look of clutter I had before. It even has a hole for electrical cords. One thing i liked was not just the finished look, that grey is on point, it was more beautiful than what I expected but the top gives me more space to put my boxes etc. The under space is not roomy enough to fit items. Assembly time for me was 3.5 hours. Best of luck and enjoy.

The packing was fantastic. Everything was so well wrapped and relatively easy to remove from the big heavy boxes. The markings to assemble were very well done and relatively easy to follow the instructions. I bought two of these pantry cabinets. My only negative was that the “pre-drilled” holes for the magnets were two shallow and I had to get my drill and make them deeper as the screws were not easy before I did this. The locking mechanism is really good and took some work to close. I did mess up the base and installed backwards on my first attempt but that was my fault. After putting together the first unit, the second was easier. Having two people makes the putting the second story easier, along with the top panel. My wife and I are extremely pleased. I was concerned about the odor other reviewers mentioned, but ours did not have a significant smell to them. For those of you considering to buy these, I hope this helps! They are an off white color, but very attractive.

This pantry has a very nice appearance when assembled (for me, working alone, it took about 5 hours, though the assembly is not that complex.) As you can see from the picture though, it does have a yellowish cast when placed against a snow-white wall, which was acceptable to me, but might not be to other purchasers. One issue caused me a problem, though I was able to resolve it myself A number of locking screws need to be screwed into plastic inserts. Several of these inserts had some paint overspray on them one so much so that the threads were clogged and then damaged when I tried to put the locking screw into it. I had to re-thread the insert by screwing in a different wood screw, which re-formed the threads sufficiently for me to be able to properly insert the locking screw. I was ultimately pleased with my purchase, but that wouldn’t have been so had I been unable to accept the color tint or fix the plastic insert myself.

The product is good and perfect for what I needed. The door hinges are a bit annoying to adjust but other than that it was fairly easy to put together. The only bad thing about my experience is that Wayfair doesnt have its own delivery service and uses UPSFedEx who could care less. I was home all day and FedEx decided to deliver the cabinet to my building next-door, it weighed quite a bit and the package was taller than me. It was a hassle to get someone to help me get it back to my building and into my apartment. Youd think for large furniture items that there would be better delivery service so customers arent throwing their back out! I wont be buying any furniture in the future from Wayfair, only things that I know I can carry if I have to. Its a shame because I wanted to order a few other pieces for my living room. Ikeas furniture may not be as nice but at least they have better delivery service.

This is a very nicely well made cabinet for pantry storage. The pieces are all veneered on all sides if not solid hardwood so there is no telling which pieces might be solid. Does not appear there is any MDF in this cabinet. It's a strong and heavy unit. The top and base come preassembled and are very heavy and sturdy by themselves. The cherry finish looks very good although I had one inside piece that seemed to have a slight amount of spatter on it, barely noticeable. Assembly was not difficult and the instructions are clear but they are missing torque specifications for the fasteners. I had two doors that did not want to close all the way until I did some fiddling with the hinges. The pantry comes with leveling pads built into the base which also prevent the unit from scratching the floor when moved. But once assembled they are only accessible from the bottom by tipping the cabinet over so adjustments if needed are quite a process. The shelves only have 2.5 inches of adjustment which is not in the product description. Would be nice to have more adjustment positions. The packaging was excellent to protect all the pieces for the long shipping journey to me and everything arrived in good condition. Be ready to move the 150lb box. I don't know what Lark Manor is, this pantry came from homestyles furniture. I would buy it again.

This is a nice cabinet that was relatively easy to put together. Took a little while, but everything fit and it looks good. So I would definitely recommend it. Be aware of the size though - It says extra tall cabinet, but check out the dimensions because it's not that big. I did pay attention to the dimensions when I bought it, but I probably should have acquired a taller unit. My fault not the cabinet's... I did find the hinges on the doors to be a bit flimsy though. They bent pretty easily with a little pressure when the door is fully opened. But it looks good enough and is practical enough that we can definitely use it somewhere, if we decide to get a taller one to replace it. But if you don't need a real lot of storage I would highly recommend this one.

Satisfactory small cupboard for the price. There were some imperfections in the paint job. The screws for the hinges did not go in flush. I discovered this whenI broke off the head of one of the screws trying to screw it in flush. These screws do not seem to be the correct screws for these hinges. I decided to live with them after all the unpacking and inventorying of parts. The inventory list was very clear and everything was there. I'm going to use this piece in an inconspicuous place, so think it is OK for the price.

Okay, this was not the easiest cabinet to assemble and get squared up but with patience and determination I was able to do it myself except for hanging the door and I am a 68 year old female. Two persons is a better option than one and you must go back and readjust the connecting brackets to line up the front trim pieces (so don’t tighten them completely until you get everything aligned). That being said, it’s a cute storage cabinet for a small space. It is pressed board so use caution in assembly so as not to chip the “wood grain” finish. Go slow and carefully and read the instructions. As previously stated nailing on the back cardboard really does stabilize the unit.

This cabinet is great for a small space in the laundry room, in my case-I only had 15 inches in width to work with for extra storage. It took several hours for me to assemble. (Tip: when installing wooden dowel pieces to support shelves, use a rubber mallet to tap them into the shelving parts, otherwise if you use a hammer, it will crack the plastic veneer off. Make sure to tap the dowel piece in enough to the shelf (I also used wood glue for extra support), other wise you will have problems with putting the sides together with the shelves if the dowels aren't tapped enough ,the veneer will chip off. The cabinet looks nice in place. I also attached the wall anchor (the instructions state that each shelf will only support 15 pounds or less) so it wouldn't tip forward. I changed the handle for a more contemporary look, but I am very happy with the end result. Would recommend.

Chose this since it was almost the same dimensions as my 16-year-old cabinet & I have limited area to place it. It seems sturdy and isn't bad-looking. Knob assembly was not only ugly but inconveniently small even for my long-fingered, small hands. I tossed it and replaced with a glass knob from the flea market. Pantry door opens bizarrely and inconveniently swinging right-to-left; my old cabinet assembled so user could chose the door hinge side. Assembly instructions were basically good; only 1 point of real confusion. Product I received had 5 places where machining had failed & there were no starter holes for screws, making assembly very difficult at those points. I am 65-year-old woman assembling it alone & assembly took me 5 1/2 hours. Most hilarious part of instructions was the warning, "Do not stand product up until back has been installed" at the END of the instruction booklet. Listen, to get those screws in place at those angles, I had that thing up, down, sideways, backwards! My former cabinet had better styling, more realistic wood grain, cost half as much and lasted 16 years. I don't expect to get that many years out of this one, even if I live that long, but, hey, that's the way things change. It will do the job.
