This is my 2nd dehydrator exactly like this..I love my current one and needed to replace one of my old basis dehydrators before the dehydration season was over. Tip: if you dehyrate alot of medicinal herbs- like I do. Cut out window screen and place on each tray. Do not cut out the center. I bought this because it was small and made of metal, not plastic. I discovered that the base is actually plastic, but is covered by the 'crumb tray'. How much of that heated plastic leaches into the dehydrating food, I don't know. I use for dehydrating nuts and seeds after sprouting, so maximum nutrition is the goal.. Mike. USA. Tue Oct 10 2023
