This shelf looks beautiful, but installation was more difficult than expected. It was challenging to align and level the two wood pieces during assembly. I also don’t feel the base is sturdy enough to handle the pressure of a traditional pump hand soap dispenser. To avoid putting stress on it, I switched to an electric soap dispenser. I can’t speak for longevity of this item so this review is only for aesthetics. The sconce is very pretty in person and mimics wood, but is actually painted metal which in my opinion is more practical for an electrical fixture. Be very careful with the shade, sometimes it can be crooked or slightly shorter in some areas so when you put it on, you will notice it from eye level.
