This distressed finish is very durable and easy to touch up.

We were looking for something with more of a vertical footprint to make space in our bedroom and this was just right, size-wise. It looks great too, and it's nice to have real wood. Assembly took quite a bit of time, especially since there weren't predrilled holes for a lot of the screws, but it all came together. As others noted, it's good to be aware that the back panel is unfinished, so this dresser must be set up against a wall (which is necessary for safety anyway, with a secure fastener included). We received the 5 Drawer Chest yesterday when we opened it up the left corner was damaged also the right side on front and back my hubby said he could fix them so I called the Way Fair customer service talked to a customer service rep, Stacey from Ogden Ut. She said they would take off a few dollars for damage "no questions asked" if we wanted to keep it, so we kept it, that's why I included the pictures so they could be sure they could trust it really was damaged, Thanks WayFair :).
