I really like that this real wood. That was the selling point for my purchase. No MDF or particle board. It’s not solid oak or anything like that, but it is indeed real wood. What I think could be improved is labeling the pieces for assembly. Even little stickers would help. I understand I’m not building a rocket ship, but trying to figure out which side is which would be helpful. What I didn’t like. When I tapped down the top of the bookcase I had to use a little force. One of the dowels popped right through the top and left a good-sized hole. Overall, it’s the least expensive real wood bookshelf I could find in my price range. The bookshelf is wonderful. Very sturdy and it looks high quality. As you can see I am using for our tv and it’s deep enough where the hdmi cords have room to be plugged in horizontally into the back of the tv. One heads up though, the package is HEAVYYY so be ready to have someone help you carry it in. Other than that, once it was built (which the assembly was so easy) it wasn’t to hard to move around to where I wanted it. I ordered 4 of the large book cases and 4 of the smaller ones same style to make my built in unit for my office. The shelves were very fast and easy to put together. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. It took me a little over an hour to put it together myself, mostly because the pictograph instructions aren't the best so I took my time and studied it, then went back to the website to download one of three other PDF instructions that seemed a little easier to follow. Instructions state to screw shelves and braces to both sides of the bookcase and then place the top piece. I've put together pieces with shelves before and I always find that it's easier to screw all pieces into one side, then flip it and attach the other side. Two of the holes were not drilled properly, making it difficult to get the side screws in and one of the shelves wasn't finished properly, having a weird tacky area where it appears the black paint was missed and something sticky was left. At some point, I'll have to give it a light sanding and repaint that shelf, but I don't have time for that nonsense today. Also, the instructions don't tell you that you'll need a rubber mallet to tap in the little plugs that cover the screws, but you will definitely need one to get them seated in properly.. Gloria. The bookcase is gorgeous from the quality of the wood to its appearance. I love how many books it cans hold and the shelving. It was not too difficult to install. I have books on the shelves and gold figurines that also compliment the wood . This is a beautiful piece of wood and it also compliments the colors in my home . This is a really nice bookcase! It is gonna go really well in my office space. The directions were crystal clear and the whole piece was put together within an hour. The only negative of the entire experience is that there are many pilot holes missing when putting on the back of the bookcase. It was easily overcome, and I wouldn’t not purchase it for that reason. I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile. Unfinished

This solid wood bookcase is the perfect size for any space. At 32" high, it provides ample storage, but doesn't overpower. We use real wood and screws with plugs in our construction - not MDF, air nails, or Staples. Some minor assembly at home is required; instructions and hardware included. Overall dimensions of 36" W x 10" D x 32" H with three openings that allow for 33"W x 8.5"D x 9.25"H. We do not use highly processed wood, because of this, you can expect knots and minor imperfections that make each piece unique.
