It's comfortable, but not cushiony. It seems like it's going to keep its shape over time better than other, more billowy, couches. I sprayed it with upholstery protector when it was brand new and it did well. No change in color or texture. Delivery was smooth and easy. I really appreciated having it set up for us, even though it's a pretty simple assembly. I paid over $900, which I think might be a little overpriced for the quality.
