I'm happy with the bunk bed. But my kids are ecstatic. They were celebrating it for like 30 minutes. And the best part is they sleep better now. Putting it together was as difficult as advertised and due to my fitness level, I was sore for days after. The instructions were thorough, though could have been better as some steps could be merged with later ones to make the construction easier to accomplish. And the slats portion could be improved significantly as some were shorter than others. Those steps also didn't convey that the position of each wasn't fixed. So I had to measure the bed frame and put marks down to ensure I did it evenly. I would have expected markings on the frame to indicate where the slats would go. Took my husband a few days to assemble ( solid 6 hours total with breaks) to put together by himself. My two boys love their new bunk bed. Top bunk mattress is a Wayfair mattress 5 inches. Seems very sturdy but can shake a little like most metal frames. My husband plans on checking the bolts every week. We recently updated my mother's bedroom, and one of the biggest changes was purchasing this Twin over Full bunk bed that she had been wanting. Overall, we are very pleased with it. The bed is solid and sturdy for the price, and the color looks great in the room. Assembly wasn't particularly difficult, but there are a lot of pieces, so I recommend giving yourself plenty of space to organize everything before you start. We also added a few extra slats for additional mattress support, which worked out well. For the lower full-size bunk, we purchased the 9" Plush Cooling Gel Hybrid Mattress by Zinus, and it's been comfortable for her to sleep on. This bed took 6 or 7 days to come in, when it was delivered some pieces of the cardboard were broken, but it didn’t really change anything. There are a few scratches on the bed, honestly I can’t do anything about it so it’s useless worrying about it.me and my sisters built this bed in the span of 10 hours. We were stuck of a few parts which is normal I guess, overall it was simple looking back at it. It’s very sturdy and strong, we got full over fully, only reason why I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars is simply because of the delivery and a few scratches on the bed, that’s only fair. Everything else is great. Beds very sturdy like I said, and walnut is a gorgeous color! I selpent some time looking for the perfect bunk for me and my lil sis.
