Was very tired of hand held water filter pitchers. I needed something with a stationary spout and filters that lasted for maybe a couple of months as well as good tasting water. The stainless steel container is preferable to plastic and the filters last a lot longer. Now I don’t have to store f use refrigerator or cupboard space for all the spare water bottles and pitchers. I’m 75 so this thing is a bit hard for me. I didn’t realize the compartment for clean water and used water were in the back. It’s heavy to turn around for me and lifting the water is difficult. You must wash the whole thing every week. My sink is high, newer apt, I’m 4 11” and that’s lifting at chest level. I think for younger folks it’d be great but when it’s done cleaning the water there is about a days worth for me. Otherwise for what it is it’s great! It does take up one counter at my apt. So far I do like this it does make the water taste a lot better. Its not quite as cold as I would like I have a 32 oz water bottle and Im about halfway of filling it the water gets warm since its refilling the tank as it goes, but some ice cubes would fix that. I’ve already had to demineralize the unit which takes time and water. To prevent this from happening so quickly I will try to make sure the waste water is emptied promptly after filtering. I’m leaving the canister empty most of the time. I’ve had some trouble getting the plastic water canister to ‘lock’ in place when full of water, finding I have to push down more than is intuitive.
