It’s softer than I thought it’d be! I prefer an extremely soft mattress but I needed a shorter (10”) mattress for the bed frame I wanted and ultra plush is harder to find so I settled on this one and I’m quite pleased. This cradle was easy to assemble and I love that it came with a carry sack as well as a cover for it. Figuring out how to lower the side is a bit tricky but over all not too difficult. I would like to caution about reading the instruction manual and the warnings inside of it. There is certainly a measurement for the parent mattress that needs to be adhered to for safety. Also, please note that the manual does state this bed is only recommended for babies up to 5 months or when they start to raise up themselves. So it is not meant as a long term solution. Perfect sofadaybed for my small guest bedroom. I must be honest, we have not slept on it without a topper but alone it feels medium softness and is easy to put together and prepared when someone unexpectedly needs to stay over the night. I am not certain this should be used for sleeping purposes but definitely fits for what we need and perfectly fits the small space. While I don’t think this would be a great mattress for daily use, this was a good mattress for the trundle portion of my kid’s bed. It is slim (in a month, it only expanded to about 5.5”), and it’s quite firm as it obviously doesn’t have room for all the support/comfort layers that a regular width mattress can have. But it fits very well in a trundle bed (even with bedding), is more comfortable than I expected it to be, and is more than fine for occasional use.
