This product was a disappointment, I thought they would be more practical but the light they give off is more of a night light than actual light. it is a nice door that you can open and close. we had a 42” opening and my clever husband put a2x4 width wise and then used plastic ties to secure it tight. it works well. when the other kids come over, we asked them to just be careful because there is a reinforce piece so it will lock. Just a remind to step over as they unlock and then lock it back again. baby doesn’t even come near it but sure did want to see the stairs. i recommend this gate,. Lk. I needed lights on my back stairs. They were pitch dark at night. I had a motion detector light at the top of the stairs but it did not light them. These LED step lights do the job. My husband a diy’er installed them. They are AC not ACDC. Do not need a transformer. The picture shows everything he he used except 16 gage electrical wire. Not difficult for an experienced person. The dark area on the stairs has no lights. We will be buying another set unless we can get them individually. He also installed a photocell switch to turn lights on at dusk automatically and off at dawn. Otherwise light will day on until you manually turn them off.. Vanne. I am particularly excited about this play pen because you can do non typical configurations with it. It was Easy to put together. I did add foam pieces inside to give the baby a softer play space. This comes with a cord so I can easily recharge it. I like that I do not have to have batteries for this flashlight. You do have to go through Pushing the button 5 times in order to turn it off which is not difficult to do. Over this gate is pretty great. I just strongly dislike that the retractable part requires you to operate the button and usually makes you open the gate all the way, click the button, and then bring it all the way to the hooks to close. I’d like it to just freely move open and closed without the lock on it. However my dog never pushes on it and it probably is there for kids or naughty pups that would push on the screen. I just don’t like that I don’t have the option to leave it unlocked. Other than that small snag the installation was super easy!! Also it’s a good size and holds my 70 pound dog in no problem. I have it elevated to budget for the baseboard and bought it to stop the dog from running down the stairs to the door and escaping.
