We bought 2 sets of these bar stools to finish our backyard bar area. What a great addition! They matched the bar perfectly. These stools are completely made of metal (except for the cushions of course). It is hard to find good quality furniture. We live where the temperature can get to 115 degrees during the summer so chairs with sling fabric are not an option for us. While doing our research, the description reads “straps” for the seats. It is hard to tell from the pictures if this is true or not. I called and the representative told us they were metal. We were not sure what to think, but we went ahead and got them anyway. They are in fact metal. These stools also have a swivel base. Another plus! And a seat cushion! We are VERY happy (so far) with this purchase.
