So if someone bumps into it or your floor isn’t level or the dog jumps on your lap the chair will swivel around. That is not what I wanted because once reclined I want to stay in that position. Love this chair! Far exceed my expectations. Extremely comfortable. Supports the lower back and head perfectly. Deep seats, so seat ends right at knee instead of middle of thigh. (This makes seating much more comfortable for taller people.) Smooth and quiet recline. The chair is very beautiful to look at too. I was skeptical about the ribbing on the back, but it really adds texture and dimension to the chair. Very pleased with this purchase. Note Packaging is horrible. The box is very light weight cardboard with no corner or edge reinforcements. The box was only lightly taped together and had several holes and tears.
