Even though I had the measurements - sometimes it is hard to visual what the size will be - it is not as deep (front to back) as I was hoping - the length and height are great. I want to use it to store quilts - like a cedar chest. It won't hold many at all. I do like the look of it. The legs were easy to put on (although the diagram was incorrect on the order of the locking washer and regular washer). The trunk is as it looks. Hinges seem strong but even if they weren't, the wood is so light that it wouldn't hurt fingers. If you are looking for a solid piece of furniture, this isn't it.
