READ THIS FIRST! I can’t believe that none of the reviewers of this item mentioned that you have to peel the film off of every piece of this case! When I opened the box and saw that the pieces were dull and opaque and not crystal clear like the description says, I was just about to close the box up and send it back. Then I noticed a small corner of one of the pieces was peeling, so I pulled on it. There underneath the film is a crystal clear acrylic shelf! There is a film on BOTH sides of each piece, and it’s quite difficult to scrape a corner off big enough to get a grip on the film. And it’s a tedious process to peel ALL of those pieces, but it’s well worth the final outcome! It’s a beautiful, sturdy, very spacious, crystal clear display case. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the doors don’t close securely- they just swing back & forth loosely. Overall, I like the unit. It arrived next day and the setup was pretty straightforward. I have 5 other cabinets that are similar but not identical to this one so a lot of the setup was the same. I had to makemake 2 additions to make the cabinet work for me. First, I added legs. I don’t like cabinets that drag on the floor especially when you need a place to put the power cords. Second, I added lights to the glass shelves. The way the unit works. Anything on the two glass shelves device light but if you have a lot of things on those shelves, the light doesn’t fully transmit to the wood shelves. I’ve been reading that the lights tend to die within 30-60 days so let’s see if that happens to me it I have a backup plan to add new lights o I’ll be fine if it does. Overall, a descent unit. My 2 monitors were at different heights and my neck had begun to hurt in the afternoons. These acrylic stands have made all the difference!!!!
