5 stars for the bed but unfortunately, the experience took much longer than it should have. Our first delivery arrived incomplete, with only two pieces of wood—more than half of the bed was missing. We had to return it, and a full replacement shipment was sent, which delayed everything, including our assembly (which, of course, we still had to pay for). The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. We wanted to get a full size bed for our teen, but we also considered the size of his bedroom. This platfom bed takes up little visual space, allowing almost one foot of under-the-bed storage in which we picked up containers for odds and ends. The wood quality is great; I read specifications on quite a few of the beds and found this one to have few to little added chemicals.
