I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. It came with nice paper templates that showed you exactly where to mount and drill. Me and a friend installed it in 45 minutes. Works great. No fluff solid ge appliance. I’m happy. James. Great microwave. Looks great, sits higher above cooktop, fast. Powerful fan, runs quietly. There's a similar cheaper model with slower fan. the only design features we don't like is the extremely wide door, done for cosmetic reasons only. Looks good but you have to step back to swing it open. If installing yourself read the manual on venting, they default to recirculate instead of vent to outside. Found out the hard way. Really like this microwave. We built an ADU attached to our daughter's house because of my husband's physical limitations, and this microwave is great for a wide variety of cooking. My only thought was I wished the handle matched. For some reason it's shiny chrome on a stainless trimmed front? You don't notice as it's in the corner, but we did wonder. We had to replace our microwave with the updated microwave of our previous microwave. Our previous GE microwave lasted us 20 years. That is unheard of today with most appliances. We are thrilled with our purchase, as it easy to use and has a few updated functions.
