I believe in labeling everything that comes into our home so I can keep up with the freshness and use frequency of everything. I treat our home as a warehouse or store should to determine what and when to buy, this is called the "min/max method". These labels are very easy to write on identifying the contents and date placed in the refrig and/or freezer, preferably using a Sharpie pen, and easy to remove with no residue left behind 9 times out of 10 times.
