This is a really nice track lighting kit with standard installation and a familiar rail design. The track mounts easily, and the heads clip in and twist, which makes placement anywhere along the rail simple. Everything fits together cleanly and feels well made right out of the box. What really elevates this set is the fixture quality and flexibility. The heads are larger than typical track lights and have a smooth, modern look that feels more premium. The LED is integrated into the fixture, so there is no need to deal with replaceable two pin bulbs (which can sometimes be a pain to insert), and it should last a long time. Each light has a five setting color temperature selector on the back, ranging from warm 2700 to bright 5000. The adjustable lens is another standout feature, allowing you to change the beam spread from a narrow 24 degree spot to a wider 60 degree flood. The adjustable wire for the free side (side opposite the outlet) probably needs to be trimmed--but nothing says this should be done. The screw that anchors the free end can go directly into the ceiling drywall anywhere--doesn't need to be drilled into wood. Two people needed to mount it and get the angles right. I used MR16 GU10 Dimmable 15,000-Hour LED Light Bulb 2700K in Soft White, and the light is crisp and warm enough (not as warm as halogen, of course, but they run cool by comparison). The specs said it needs a transformer--it doesn't just a standard 120V outlet. I am very happy with this product, just need to put in a dimmer.... Lorren. Sun Jun 30 2024
