LG ProBake Convection delivers even baking results on every rack, every time*. Inspired by pro-style ranges, this new LG range moved the heating element from the bottom of the oven to the back wall for optimal heat distribution.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to have a electric range that had two seperate heating ovens. I bought this as well as a new LG side-by-side refrigerator. My previous range had the knobs located on the back panel, which was convinenient. I didn't think about the knobs being on the front of the stove as being a problem. The first day I received my appliances, I had placed a towel on the top of the glass cooktop so that I could put food on top of it that needed to go into the fridge. I didn't want any glass jars or other things to scratch the glass. Because the knobs are in the front, I accidentally had pressed against one of them and inadvertantly turned one of the burners on without knowing. The knobs are easily turned on if you lean against them accidently, which happens often because they are right in front of the stove. I started to smell smoke, then quickly realized the stove was on and had begun burning through the towel. Luckily, I caught it before burning my house down! There was a spot on one of the burners from where the towel had caught fire. I was unable to clean it off with any glasstop cleaners. The same thing happened a couple of more times, with one or more glass burners being turned on from me either brushing against the knobs by mistake or leaning on them while cleaning the glass. I have since made sure to always stay a few inches away from the front when doing anything with my stove now. If you are used to having the cooking knobs on the back of your stove, just be aware that this stove, having them in the front, is a HUGE difference and you will have to be careful when operating it at all times. The only other thing I have an issue with is the tiny space between the panel where the knobs are and the actual glass cook top always gets crumbs or other food stuck in there, and is hard to keep clean. Whoever designed this stove was definitely not thinking about the everyday person who uses this stove multiple times a day. If I had done a little more research and taken into consideration all of the issues I have since dealt with, I probably wouldn't have bought this particular range and would have opted for one similar to what I owned previously.. amelia41.
