we really needed to replace our 17 year old dishes so i was happy to see these available in the tried and true offering. I was looking for a modern shape and these definitely fit the bill. i took a chance on the cream and crossed my fingers that they wouldn't be too yellow. They are a very nice bone/eggshell color which did not disappoint. They aren't as heavy as i would like so I'm not sure how they will hold up for the long term. I love, love, love this dish set. The stoneware is high quality. The coating on them almost seems like porcelain but with the sturdy weight of stoneware. The ribbed texture and two toned design are my favorite thing. It makes the dishes look very modern and distinct. The high ridges on the plates are great for saucy foods and for stacking them in the cupboard. The mugs are also a great size. This is a set that I highly recommend!
