Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. I bought this screen door for its ability to protect my glass panel front door from any hurricane damage. It has come through both Helene and Milton like a trooper. So glad I didn't have to put up the steel panels on and prevent me from using that door during those storms. Years ago, we installed a hunter green door with a digital lock in Texas, and it was fantastic. However, we eventually had to replace the digital lock. Unfortunately, the company shifted to high-volume production and now only offers key locks. Aside from that, it's a sturdy door. We also had the option of etched glass, but they decided to stick with standard glass instead, limiting our choices. It's disappointing! The B 638 roller is a 1 Inch high-density polyethylene roller, the B 687 roller has a plastic ball bearing and the B 639 has a steel ball bearing roller with a 1-3/4 Inch long tension spring that is a heat treated steel spring. When installed the bent, or angled, flat spring positions the roller assembly so that an adjusting screw adjusts the height of the roller as needed.
