This is a nice looking real pine bed frame! The slats though for the mattress are particle board. It took my son 1 hour to put together! It seems sturdy, I guess time will tell. I’m getting used to how low it is, but overall I like it. I would not recommend this style of frame for a kids room because of the squared edges. They would certainly smash into them. The bed is nice, but I wish I had paid attention to the height of the headboard- you can even see it if you stand pillows up against it. I think it seems sturdy and seems to be sturdy. Assembly was a bit difficult because initially we ended up putting legs on the wrong side and the side rails upside down. This could be avoided with better labeling. Overall we are happy with the bed, but wish I could buy an extension to make the headboard taller. For reference this is the chestnut color option- I think the listing for this bed has the driftwood color pictured in both the driftwood and chestnut photos. This is great. Seems structurally stable. Easy to put together. Two complaints. The silver metal bolts are visible on the outside of the posts, so I’m spray painting those to match the frame. The bigger complaint is that the mattress slides. The bottom rails are smooth and flush. there’s no recessed area for the mattress to sit in to keep it in place. Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it.
